@ha-l It could be that the Magix servers weren’t available or that your internet connection wasn't sufficient. There is a download manager thats used to download the main VP module and other items, its a very small initial download, I guess thats what your using. VP17 can also be downloaded directly from the link at bottom of this page. Try logging into your account and install/download your products from there. It’s now owned by Magix, not Sony from version 14.

As @JN- says, you cannot download "SonyVegas 17". If you are getting such software you need to ascertain that it comes from VEGAS Creative Software as "SonyVegas" is not correct info.
