Minimize all tracks can't be undone?

Hi there,

It often happens that I'm clicking somewhere during editing unintentionally and all tracks get minimized. i have no idea what triggers that but it sure is not something logical....

That's VERY annoying esp. since the menu entry under 'view' called 'minimize all tracks' that has been checked at that point can't be unchecked?!?

Is this a bug in Vegas?

There are a number of keyboard commands which can minimise the tracks ... check out Keyboard Commands in VP Help ... you may have inadvertently hit one of those keyboard combinations, which is easy to do. The easiest way to do it is to hit the squiggle key just to the left of the "1" key.

While I haven't found a way to restore the original track height layout if I've accidentally reduced them, hitting Shift-Control-up arrow allows all tracks to be increased incrementally.

I did it by accident last night. Luckily I only had 4 tracks on T/L, annoying all the same. Guess I was tired and it was too late! Need to stop editing when it get's to 23.00.

I agree, just use that vertical scroll bar right to the VPro timeline, (not always available in later MSPs though, in case some of those users happen to read this).

I just wanted to point out for potential MSP 13/14 users that the vertical scroll bar is not always available/on in later MSPs, nothing else. Your latest comment is a helpful bonus to them.

The "~" key will toggle between normal and minimized mode. The option in the view menu also acts as a toggle. As does the double click of the right scroll bar.

As far as the scrollbar in Movie Studio, in version 13 it was changed to only appear when needed, as opposed to Vegas which has this bar visible all the time. This was done to maximize the visible area in the timeline since Movie Studio users tend to use fewer tracks. (It was also done as a way to create more editing screen space as part of the unfortunate touch-screen usability effort.)

Thanks for confirming. Note that (e.g.) the ~ and ` keys may not work similarly in your keyboard layout. In my non-US one they do not.
