.MOV

Version 19.0 (Build 458)
Since this build that came out just a day ago to my PC a 3090RTX Intel 9900K running Windows with all drivers up to date as of writing this. From the last build to this build I am now getting the above error message window pop up when trying it import (or drag and drop) .MOV files.
The project I am working on has .MOV files in it that I imported (dragged and dropped) a day ago and with out issues (if you don't count having to go into settings to allow VP.19 to use .MOV by ticking the deprecated setting).
But now an update later and a day later I can't import (drag and drop) .MOV files. I have used .MOV with VP. 14, 17 and 18 and 19 but only get this error message now. And I did read it the update notes that there was some message like this that would pop up... How do I work around this and how do I get on with making videos?
Thanks for any and all help

Which program of Vegas are you using? Buildnr?
What is your used hardware?
Are you able to put a small .MOV on a site from where we can download that .MOV unharmed to try out on our installations?

It's the VP 19 newest and most uptodate build. Build update hit my PC lastnight. and has stuffed up .MOV
I made the .MOV myself as I am a content creator and need .MOV for it's ability to let me use ALPHA channel.
Thanks for the replies.

Thanks for the replies.

It will be difficult to get any more if you only provide incomplete information, and far from the information you asked for - see the previous attempts by vkmast and j-v.

Otherwise - good luck

@Ketobbey-Waters: How are you trying to add this media to your project? We do know of an issue trying to drag and drop media from Windows Explorer. Opening it via other methods should still work.

I made the files myself and have no issues until this current update. All info you requested is in the request description. I hope the updated info helps to clear some questions up. Thanks for the reply

Does the update request work better?

you have no idea how mad I am right now and I wanted to share a little light heartedness but it seems to many want to just say "well I helped"

Try going into the internal preferences, search for "Show warning for media which is not suited for editing" and set that to FALSE.

If that doesn't work, please post a MediaInfo readout of your media.

In VEGAS Pro 18 and 19 holding SHIFT while clicking Options adds Internal... to the dropdown menu of Options.

(You need to do these every time you want to access Internal Prefs.)

thanks. I knew this one from the past. I know it is a good refresher for anyone lese that may have this issue. Thanks all again it's fixed. I am marking the solution now. Thanks all. <3

See? We're not such bad people after all! Sorry for your frustrations. By the way, this also points out that the "Do not show again" checkbox on that dialog doesn't work. You shouldn't have to go into preferences at all to turn this off. That's the purpose of the checkbox. That's already been fixed and will operate properly in the next update.

100% it was super frustrating that the checkbox did nothing giving me no way to know how to fix the issue. I lost a day of work to this. But the community is very knowledgeable. And you all have my gratitude.

Is that a false warning, or does it serve a purpose (deactivating the warning solves the problem or just hiding it)?

Please help me with my silly question. Why to people use type when they can use video and use show and tell, its free. Here in the world is this feature? https://www.screencast.com/t/rlseFVPbWT

Well, sometimes you can't make a video. But, even in your case, you're better off posting the video here instead of requiring people to go to a different website (screencast in this case) in order to see the video. There's no problems posting videos and images direct into the posts here.

It's a real warning-I see it for Zoom media which has decoding issues in Vegas. Disabling it lets you edit in Vegas but really you should reencode instead. I wish Vegas could do this for you on import.
