Movie Studio 16 tells me to activate whenever I launch the program

It seems that everyday that I go to launch VMS 16 Platinum/Suite, it tells me that I need to activate the software. Why can't I just activate once, forever? Regardless, why is it making me do it just about every day now? I worry that I won't be able to use it the next time I don't have internet.

UPDATE 2: I downloaded Microsoft's Uninstall Troubleshooter and it cleaned up Movie Studio 16 so I was now able to re-install it.

Ref URL: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed-cca7d1b6-65a9-3d98-426b-e9f927e1eb4d

Funny that it's a Microsoft program and YET Microsoft Edge blocked it and said it was dangerous, LOL. So I chose "keep it" and it ran just fine, of course.

PREVIOUS UPDATE: I followed the instructions at the URL below but excluded the entries for non-ver 16 (since I don't want to uninstall those):

However, the ver 16 installer STILL says it's installed and so won't continue. Sigh.

Previous message:

So now that I'm trying to uninstall Movie Studio 16 Plat, there's no uninstaller (for some reason) and, when I try to reinstall, it says it's already installed and to remove it. Hm, would be nice if you could just go "yeah, I know" and continue to install.

I tried to delete folder and registry entries based on a Vegas doc, but I don't want to break other installations, such as Movie Studio 11 and 17. (I like to have my options, LOL.)
