Every time I open Vegas 17 the "activate with serial number" pops up. The product is paid for, licensed and registered with Magix. I've been using it without this problem in the past. This is a new behavior. How to make it go away?

No, but you probably want VEGAS Support. First though try and read this thread if it helps.
I've encountered that in the past and deactivation with the help menu followed by an uninstall and then a re-install fixed it for me. Might also want to log into your Magix account and make sure the same machine does not appear more than once.

What's strange is that I did that last week and it did NOT fix it. Tried the same routine again and it worked. Go figure. Computers. Love 'em hate 'em.
In my case I did the remove program thing. Reinstalled and after activating the first instance, it seems to be working without registering each time. I should have checked on this forum a couple months ago. Thank you kindly.😄
