MSP14 Doesn't Recognize DVD Architect

Holentheday wrote on 3/12/2017, 1:09 PM

I recently installed the Movie Studio Platinum 14 Suite and when I tried to render a DVD using the Make Movie Wizard> Burn it to DVD or Blu-ray Disc> DVD with Menus, I keep getting an error that says "DVD Architect Studio does not appear to be installed.  Please save your project, install DVD Architect Studio, and restart the Make Movie Wizard."

I have installed EVERY program and plugin and everything has been successfully activated and registered, including the DVD Architect program that came with the suite.

It's my understanding that after selecting those options in the wizard, it is suppose to render the MPEG2 and AAC files and then automatically open and import them to DVD Architect.  I am able to successfully render separate MPEG2 and AAC files using the Render As feature, but for some reason the Make DVD Wizard does not recognize that DVD Architect is installed.

Has anyone else experienced this, or does anyone know what the issue is, or is there something else I need to be doing?

Thank you!

Hi. I've just activated the Make Movie wizard with the parameters you described and the project is rendering as I type. I haven't seen the error message that you described.

It's just finished rendering (short project) and I was asked to sent the files to DVD Architect. I clicked the appropriate button and DVD Architect opened up with the files imported. I don't know what is wrong at your end but from what I can see, the Make Movie wizard is working as it should.

I have to say though that I never use the Make Movie wizard. I always use the 'Make Movie/Save it to my hard drive' option. You have much more control regarding bitrate, etc.

Vk. I've just realised. It was launching my old MSP version of DVDAS. That explains it.
