I'm not @NickHope, but "dl05" links are classified by him as "mirror" in the download FAQ point 5. Direct Links.

@Nick Hope, why 2 links? What is the difference between these two?

@Eagle Six The files themselves are the same. It's just a different URL. I'm really not sure whether it's a true mirror (a different file in a different location) or just a different URL redirecting to the same file. I just know that both links work, so I post them both in case one downloads more quickly or successfully than the other. So if one is taking forever, then try the other one.

Note that these links are also available on the VEGAS downloads post, which I try to keep up to date.

As far as I can tell, the auto-update feature does not leave the main installer behind on the system. I'd be interested to know where it temporarily downloads to, if someone cares to try and monitor that while it happens (or if MAGIX care to tell us).

I think, after a new update, something is going on with stabilization. If you stabilize a longer video, playback is very slow/stuttering after stabilization. As if the GPU acceleration for this stabilized sequence has stopped working.
If I turn off Vegas and turn it on again, the stabilized video is already playing at full frame rate.

This seems fixed now in Vegas 16 build 424 (and in latest Vegas 15), at least on my system. I haven't checked this in a while and was curious if they fixed it, as I issued a bug report a while back to Magix. I do not find any mention of the fix in the release notes, which is a pity, god knows what else they fixed without mentioning.

@bitman I'm still getting the error in both VP15 build 361 and VP16 build 424. I'm on Windows 10 version 1511.

I got the message within Vegas the same day and I installed it immediately. It installed the new version without any problem on my mashine.

Great to see so many fixes!!! I was forced to use Final Cut Pro last night and it just reminded me of how much I love Vegas. It is little frustrating things like in FCP, Render is under Share, and I'm thinking, "I don't want to share it. I want to render it." Stuff like that.

@NickHope that is a weird issue isn't it. It seems fixed now on my system, but my windows 10 version is 1809 (os build 17763.437) and is the same (except maybe some intermediate windows fixes) as when I had the issue. Vegas 15 version has not changed, only version 16 (424) is new. But is fixed in both now, which is also very weird.

Come to think about it, I did purchase sound forge audio cleaning lab, maybe it fixed/installed something audio related but that seems far fetched. I would like to hear from Magix more on the issue as they responded to me a few months back that it is a known issue and will be fixed in a future update. Well is it now or not? It is not in the release notes, and as it stil is an issue with Nick Hope, I will not get my hopes up!

Upgrade did not go smooth for me. Running on an MSI GL73 with 1050Ti, 32Gb RAM + 4TB SSD. I wound up downloading the offline installer to get it upgraded. Otherwise, when the upgrade tried to run it would always say that Vegas Pro was already running. Tried both upgrade options, upgrade now/later. Both resulted in the same error. Vegas Pro was still in memory, I killed it in Task Manager and then could run the offline upgrade.

Has anyone else had an issue with losing the video scopes in build 424?

I've checked / unchecked the option, made sure it wasn't undocked by accident... but so far nothing.

I figured out a fix. I went to one of the preset global template layouts, and the Scope option returned! Then quickly tailored the template back to my needs and all was back to normal. Thanks everyone for the suggestions and wanted to list my given fix in case anyone else has it happen to them.
