New updates/version?

So, I don't get notifications that there are new updates available (nor is there a "check for updates" in the help drop down. I also don't remember if I have 16 Pro or 16 Edit. I know there is somewhere where it lists my Sony/Magix products and versions, but I can't seem to find it ("Downloads" just takes you to the current products available).

Is there some way to activate notification of updates? I'm currently experiencing a new bug that crashes VP16 when I try to open a new fveg from the File menu of an open veg and am hoping an update will maybe fix it.

Thanks for any help.

Vegas Pro "classic" and Vegas Pro Edit have the same Vegas Pro. The "Edit" just does not come with DVD Architect. See "General" section in the Comparison Table.

Your products with version numbers (but not build numbers of versions) are listed in My Products on your Magix Account (see section 3 here). The new features of Vegas Pro 16 build 352 (the last but one Update at the moment) listed this: "An update notification feature has been added in order to keep in better touch with users when new product updates and fixes are available". Activate "Use Newsfeed…" in General Preferences. Check also News section of this forum periodically though.

And see https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-pro-update-history-so-far--104998/ (last updated Feb. 19, 2019)

Top left of the splash screen when loading details product and release detail.  If you miss that why not try 'about' from the help menu.
Again full info on product & release number.
Options-> Preferences.  Check the box 'Use Newsfeed to stay informed about Vegas product updates.
