NewBlueFX Transitions 5 Ultimate missing

Jan-Nieuwenhuis wrote on 4/10/2019, 7:48 AM

Just bought and installed Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 16 and NewBlueFX Transitions 5 Ultimate.
Both installed and registered, but can't find/see the NewBlueFX plugins in Vegas (I assume they must be listed in the VideoFX list of plugins; Only the VEGAS plugins are there)!
Uninstalled NewBlueFX Transitions 5 Ultimate, and reinstalled it again with no result...
Is there perhaps a solution to overcome this problem?

They are (should be) under Transitions. The Folder View for Transitions, Video Effects and Media Generators is currently missing in VMS 16 Platinum. There are 37 plugins from NBFX Transitions 5 Ultimate in the screenshot below, the rest are from other NBFX packages. Check your Transitions window.

I indeed have not seen a folder view of transitions... I only see thumbnails when I press Add Video Transitions, but no NewBlueFX is present!

Can you show a screenshot of what you see?

How much thumbnails do you see ( anders gezegd: hoeveel van die plaatjes zie je 😉)

90, if I've counted correctly ( dus, 90 plaatjes 😎 )

And here is a screenshot when I press "Transitions"...

and here is what I see when I press "Video FX"...

and here what I see, when I press the fx button which is situated just on top of the preview window.

Judging by the OP's first screenshot NewBlueFX Transitions 5 Ultimate plugins are available there.

Besides plugging the Dutch forum j-v also confirms that those NBFX plugins are available (GoogleTranslate: "The New Blue Transitions are also included").

Hello all, first in English... It all confused me a bit as there was no indication in the name (e.g. NewBlueFX), but I've indeed noticed that they are present. Thanks for all the help!
Also noticed the slowing down of starting up of Vegas... If this becomes annoying, I can always remove them.

Now in Dutch... Heb de link naar het Nederlandse Vegas forum in mijn bookmarks gezet... Hoewel Engels voor mij niet zo'n probleem is 😉

Hello, I also had a problem with this. Thanks for the help in verifying that the new blue transitions were in fact in there even though there was no folder indication. I did however bumble upon a way to get to the transition folders in Movie Studio 16 by first selecting a transition, having it come up for edit, and then clicking on the add FX button and that will bring you to the folder view in order to change the current transition you previously selected. Also you will find there the folder for new blue transitions. So it is a little unintuitive and awkward but the folder is there. Thanks for your help and I hope this helps.

Indeed. See the screenshot in the first comment. Note that there are Plug-In Chooser windows with folder/tree views for (Video) Media Generators and Video event/track/output/media FX as well.

Thanks guys. I recently installed VM16 platinum and couldn't figure out where those Transition 5 Ultimate fx were located or whether the installation had failed. Now I know they are there.

@switchticket I like your tricking the system to show itself.
