Slider? I do not really understand what you are talking about?

They mean a way for the user to make the interface darker or lighter via a sliders. I agree with that to satisfy all users, but I also want new modernized icons with the ability to adjust its color saturations with slider as well, and the ability to make them monochrome as well for those who like it that way.

By doing that, Magix will make every one happy 😊

By the way, I really love the UI concept you designed 👍👍👍

Oh yeah! Well of course! If they make it possible to change the brightness of the interface, it will solve the dispute!

By the way, I really love the UI concept you designed 👍👍👍

Thank you!

But unfortunately, a radical change is not possible at this stage of development about Vegas!

Ideally, need to write a program from the beginning.

Re-write the program from the beginning? That sounds like the U.S. Government is involved.

We've been pretty silent on the "UI" changes front and obviously the slip made in that story has created quite a stir. Yes, we are working on changes to the skin of the UI in our code. A preview of what is to come will be seen in Movie Studio 14, but we have much work to do after that.

We hope to provide a few different options for the interface color/brightness of Vegas 15. (These options will not be available yet in Movie Studio 14.) Unfortunately, a feature regarding putting in a slider to lighten or darken the interface is just not feasible right now in a code base of this age and structure.

Believe me, we hear what you all are saying and we will work hard to accommodate the interface needs.

I'd like to thank the MAGIX Vegas dev team member for what I see as their genuine promise to try to accommodate also the UI needs of those of us that would not be able to accommodate to darkness. Time will tell.

I was disappointed to read that Movie Studio(s) 14 will not have "different options for the interface color/brightness", if the "preview" or "enhanced new interface" just means providing a darker than current interface, dropping the current Prefs/Display toggle option and adopting the new modernized icons of VPro 14. Reminds me of "stereo enhanced mono" in reverse order.

When I address a request to the developers, I pursue not only my own personal goals, I look at the global trends and practices.

I don't think a slider to adjust background brightness would be the way to go. With dark background you would have light lettering and vice versa. What happens when you adjust to medium brightness? The lettering would be difficult to read. What is needed is a few discrete steps of brightness/darkness, each optimised for readability.

It still has these, but there's not much left for them to work on. You need to restart for them to take effect:

Great to hear that there will be a Vegas 15 .. I'm definitely for more readable ICONS. They are hard to see .. .. and I like the dark interface too, plus the option for a lighter one. Go Magix !

Yes but that's the actual icons. The problem with dark interfaces is that the Highlighting of the icons or buttons is difficult to see due to lack of contrast.

I agree to some extent, but what I think the buttons need are colors to make the active ones more obvious. Here are three examples:

This applies to Pro & Studio versions. It would be nice if users could choose their own color.

Used Vegas Pro since about version 14

Vegas Pro 22 (VP20 also installed)

Having worked with the Edit AutoDesk 6.5 software, I remember that when working with the auto-readjustment function, the icon would turn red. This saved us from many errors, mistakes I often make with Vegas, because we forget that we are in Automatic readjustment.

A darker theme will be greatly appreciated, please don't put it off to version 15. Reward the people who stepped aboard the Magix bus , even though the update was very costly and even more crashy ( so far).... crash for cash ...anyone? 🛬
