Diego, your so right, they should take the Pro out the title, maybe call it Vegas, video editor, combined with a basic audio editor😈

garygiles63,LanceMGY,rraud,Diego_C,vkmast: You're all spot on !!! So the best that can be said about Vegas is that it is a good video editing program with 'consumer' audio capabilities.

Vegasderek from Magix wrote 'do not have an engineer on staff' ..may I suggest you do. Magix has developed some excellent audio programs, Sequoia, the European version of Protools, I would mention Samplitude but I believe it to be the same audio engine, Sound Forge, and the 64bit re-engineering of Acid (which has had it's struggles but is coming along) there are people working for Magix that can solve this problem and my guess is this audio issue with Vegas can be solved by the next version (19) if Magix really wants to. I could name names πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ Seriously, Magix you have people who can solve this issue.

It is still up to all of us to keep reminding Magix about the audio problems in Vegas OR a 'blind eye' will again be turn to these issues. I can only speak for myself but I will not buy another version of Vegas till the program is brought up to a professional level (which it's advertised as)

Lastly let me say I don't wish to appear mean for the sake of being mean or simply complaining but ,as we all now know, we've been buying a program that has fundamental flaws that Magix has KNOWN about, taken our money and swept the problems under the rug and kept taking our money with new versions with the SAME problems. This is an unethical way to do business.

Okay, I'll get off of my soap box and go make some music. Cheers πŸ˜‰

Most NLE's have far less audio capability, so I would not state VP's audio as 'consumer' level. Lest us forget, Vegas started out as an (audio only) DAW. But if it is no longer functional, WTF good is it.

Please note that VEGASDerek was referring to the VEGAS (Creative Software) team resources. Some of you may have missed him mentioning "we have not been approved to acquire a new resource to help us with this".

Very frustratingly I have paid for the upgrade to 18, from 15. With the recent Lock Down, I have been involved with adding Audio Description to video. This has meant I'm using Vegas a lot more. but I have to edit and process my audio in Reaper and then import it into Vegas to add it to the video. This is frustrating enough in it self because I know I could do what I do in Reaper in Vegas if the VST plugin's worked properly. When it gets really annoying is when the client wants edits or retakes, I have to do them in Reaper and then re-edit them into Vegas.

Its mega frustrating because my work flow is 4 times longer than it needs to be if the VST worked in properly Vegas.

They should remove VST plugin from Vegas all together. Shame on them, for selling a product for so long knowing it has this issue.πŸ‘ΏπŸ‘ΏπŸ‘ΏπŸ‘ΏπŸ‘Ώ

@garygiles63, I have to do the exact same thing, I'm doing a video for a singer and ALL the audio is done on other programs. As a matter of fact all the video work I've done in the last 10 years has had the audio done in other programs....but I'm starting to repeat myself 😁

It's so so stupid of them, I use to upgrade every new version, I've missed 3 version, that's 450 pounds of my money they could have had. How many that are like me?
