Hitfilm Pro 14.0 ($244.30, Regular price $349, 30% off): something like VEGAS Effects;
Imerge Pro 6 ($139.30, Regular price $199, 30% off); something like VEGAS Image;
Just google it. Discount time is running out.
With integrated Mocha Hitfilm & Foundry camera tracker & Boris FX 3D Objects & Editing feature, Hitfilm Pro 14.0 is more powerful than VEGAS Effects. and Hitfilm Pro 14.0 can be integrated with VEGAS Pro 17.0 like VEGAS Effects.
VEGAS POST: $999
Vegas Pro Edit + Hitfilm Pro + Imerge Pro: $249+$244.3+$139.3=$632.6, more cheaper and more powerful.
Actually - A couple of final things before I make any final decisions...
Is Vegas Post biased towards certain GPUs?
(I use an AMD 580 series graphics card).
Also, can you create complete (complex) scenes with this software?
(Like intro sequences with many layers of animation etc, 3d design etc.)
I tried running the trial of Hitfilm and it won't even complete the installation! (an error message comes up, then it rolls back the installation file, so I might consider Vegas Post again).
As far as I know, VEGAS Effects = (Hitfilm Pro - (integrated Mocha Hitfilm & Foundry camera tracker & Boris FX 3D Objects & Editing feature)).
The two software are all made by FXhome, including VEGAS Effects' installation package. If you encounter an error when installing Hitfilm Pro, you may encounter an error when installing VEGAS Effects.
OK - I've just downloaded the Vegas Post trial and initially the installation was ok. However, when I tried to run it an error message came up saying that it needs to be activated before running, then it exits.
My computer is already connected to the internet so this shouldn't be a problem.
Hello guys, I've downloaded the trial version of Vegas 17 including Image and Effects. Both the add-ons work standalone. How do I access them from within Vegas?
