Ernie - the NB TitlerEx came with the 12 Suite IIRC. Anyway, read this interesting link.

None of this works with Magix MS right?

For the Suite versions extras one should also check http://download.sonymediasoftware.com/current/extras/

Of course it's good to have a valid key as well (for e.g. newbluesonyvegasmspps12setup14.exe). Read also here

I'd certainly suppose so.

I am a bit confused as to how the NewBlue integrates with MS14? I downloaded MS14 and installed with correct serial number and then downloaded the NewBlue MS14 Complete and installed and activated with correct serial number but how do I use it with MS14. It is not in the "third party" folder.

The are added into Movie Studio. If you have the Platinum bundle, you will find several new transitions on the Transitions tab. If you have the Suite bundle, you will find several new effects on the VideoFX tab as well as Titler Express on the Media Generators tab.

If the bundle is properly installed and you do not see the new items listed, please clear the Movie Studio cache by starting Movie Studio while holding down CTRL-SHIFT. That will bring up a dialog with a checkbox you need to check labeled "Clear Cache".

Joking aside it sure is "TitlerGate" a slick maneuver IMO.. They deliberately did not put a serial number on the 13 version so that we would not have one later. El stinko..

The only serial number the MSPS/MSPPS/other bundle letter combinations ever had was recognized during the install process. The serial number had to be entered to simply install the product. There has never been a serial number to "activate" any products bundled with Movie Studio until the current bundle. So, no, there was no deliberate action to leave out a serial number 3-4 years ago with anticipation that Movie Studio 14 will be released in 2017 and the won't be able to activate. The bundles never needed to be "activated" but they were tied to specific versions of Vegas/Movie Studio.

TitlerEx came with some versions of Movie Studio 11, 12, and 13.

It greatly upsets me that Newblue addons have crashed my computer so many times before I decided to remove them completely. It is appalling that Magix could not get NB stuff to work. Ernie

If you have any issues with crashes, please do contact NewBlue support. NewBlue will certainly work to figure out why any crashes are happening and work to get them resolved.

That is the MSPPS package that came with Movie Studio 12/13. It will not work in Movie Studio 14 without a watermark (and may not properly work as it has not been tested on MS14)

TitlerEx came with some versions of Movie Studio 11, 12, and 13.

Note that Sony MSP 11 was still 32-bit only.

Yes, and the initial version of TitlerEx was 32-bit only.

Well, I had been close to upgrading from Movie Studio Platinum 13 to MS14 Suite (to retain what I assumed was advertised as a "fair dinkum" NB Titler - at least as good as TitlerEx). But after finding and reading all of the above, I'll be sticking with 13. Unless they find some way to include a decent titler as part of the deal.

Smart move kenc.

Vegas Movie studio comes standard with 3 different titlers, VegasPro even with 4. Would it not be time to make just 1 Vegas standard titler instead of relying on third party titlers?

Vidguy wrote on 3/11/2017, 9:10 AM

@3POINT One would think so. Give out the best in the package. Stop trying to help other companies. Even if they charged slightly a little more we would much better want a solid predictable piece of software.

EXCELLENT slap-your-forehead idea!!!!
I hope Magix is listening!

They are listening but not reacting because it's all about business.
Magix sells Titler 5 of NewBlue.

Here in the Netherlands we have a saying: Must they shoot in their own feet?

Vidguy wrote on 3/11/2017, 10:52 AM

I wouldn't mind them selling NewBlue stuff if they gave us what they were implying. I hate bait and switch techniques.. That's a good saying Cornico. Similar to the states: Cut off ones nose to spite their face.

Actually that is not true. There is some discussion happening concerning everything mentioned in this post. I cannot say if anything will change but it is being discussed.

Not true???

What titler is this? Never seen it in Vegas.

We have another saying: Nou breekt mijn klomp!!!

jetdv wrote on 3/11/2017, 12:28 PM

That screenshot is Titler Pro 5 - the current version of Titler Pro from NewBlue. That really has nothing to do with the main contents of this post which was discussing NewBlue TitlerEx that came bundled with Movie Studio 11, 12, and 13.

Cornico wrote on 3/21/2017, 5:07 PM

It took a while before I figured out that the Vegas Movie Studio 14 Suite Complete that comes with Vegas Movie Studio 14 Suite destroyes the installation of the Titler Pro Express that is coming with Vegas Pro 14.
The makers of the program don't know this or they refused to warn the users(buyers) of their programs.

This gives a bad feeling!!!!
