Rendering takes an unbelievable amount of time, I even set the settings to the LOWEST QUALITY POSSIBLE, And this was done on a very short test video.

used MP4 cuz I thought it would be the EASIEST for the Software to render...if there is an easier 1 to use [Faster For Rendering ] PLEASE Tell Me

Moviestudio 16 Platinum

I use HP Intel prosser i3, 8 gig memory

Are you using video media from VMSP16's era (circa 2018) or more modern media? Please upload to the forum a detailed MediaInfo report - https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-to-post-mediainfo-and-vegas-pro-file-properties--104561/ - so that there is a good understanding of the media being used.

Given that VMSVP16 was released some 9 years ago, is this the first time in all those years that you've experienced the rendering problem? If yes, has anything changed in the media that you are using? Is it from a new camera? If yes, what is the new camera (or capture device)?

You've had Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 16 for around 7 years and this is the first time that you've used it?

And yes I'm using current media from a camera.

What camera? And please upload to the forum a detailed MediaInfo report as previously requested.

Akso, i3 is an entry level basic Intel CPU, but what is version number of your computer's CPU (i.e 3, 4, 5, 6 ,7, 8 or later)?

I used a Sony A6000 Camera .

I've been running around help support area online for 7 to 8 hours now & my eyes are giving out. Give me a couple of minutes for my eyes to rest, everything I see now is Blurry.

In a few minutes I think I'll be able to see again, to provide you with the info you requested. ( I'm reading the info on my phone, & the writing is very tiny )

My apologies...the test video I tried was from a video that someone sent me thru WhatsApp. It's a MP4 Video, which I tried to render back into as a MP4.

(I Never got as far as to the Sony camera recording cuz the rendering of the Very Short MP4 , Was taking such a long time)

Okay, I'll see if I can now read your link now.

john_dennis wrote on 6/13/2025, 1:49 PM

Though I'm not optimistic about your potential satisfaction with video editing with a dual core processor, the best upgrade for you (short of buying another computer) would be adding memory. The on-die video adapter in the processor uses some of the 8GB of memory that you stated.

"Please! Please! Please!" (said James Brown) tell us you have a solid-state disk and not a spinning disk.

Okay ,

Here's the NEXT QUESTION.!

I JUST bought a new computer because of this issue ( I Have Not EVEN OPENED It, opened the computer yet )

So here's my Question...I have 1 week to exchange the computer for something else.

This computer is an i5,

Would this be sufficient enough to solve the slow rendering ?

Now, I COULD BUY an i7 but the COST WOULD BE a bit MORE ....

I'm trying to get by the problem....

BUT IF YOU GUYS THINK....I need an i7....please give your options

AND PLEASE Convince ME ! !

THANKS 🙏

John Dennis....

I don't have the faintest idea !

I sent all of the info that was requested, how would I know which one I have ?

If you have an insight, please share it.

Thanks !

Opinions.....

(Not options)

(Oops)

vkmast wrote on 6/13/2025, 4:18 PM

@7399 Offtopic but For Your Information: You've asked on a wrong (Tutorial) section of the forum:

"How many computers can I have Movie Studio 16 on ? 1st one isn't working well."

From the relevant FAQ, item 9:

"You can use VEGAS Pro (14.0 and later, and VEGAS Pro 365) simultaneously on 2 devices.

To deactivate a device, so you can activate a different one, visit your MAGIX account > My Products > Show More Details > Deactivate. This option can be used only once a month.

In VEGAS Pro 14.0 or later, you can also choose Deactivate the Software on this PC from the Help menu This option can be used as often as you wish. An internet connection is required."

The above applies to your VMS(P) 16 as well.

@7399

Like this:

Buy a more substantial PC, not a laptop, and upgrade to a later version of Vegas Pro if you wish to pursue editing video from an Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max.
