I recently purchased Sony Vegas Movie Studio 14, having successfully used Movie Studio 7 for many years. Now I am unable to send my rendered project to Architect.
On the Render As screen, select Main Concept MPEG2/DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen Video Stream (or PAL) as your video output.
Select Sony Wave64/48000 Hz, 16 Bit, 5.1, PCM as your audio output. (This option will only be available if your project has been set up as a 5.1 audio project.)
Make sure that both your .mpg and .w64 files have the same name and are saved to the same directory folder. If you do that, when you import the video portion into your DVD Architect project, the audio will automatically be loaded with it. (Check out my free tutorials for DVD Architect on this site -- or my book, on Amazon -- for more information on how to work with these files in DVD Architect.
Thank you Steve. I watched your Beginners Tutorials - found them very helpful. I tried your suggestions regarding creating a DVD with 5.1 audio but this is still unsuccessful. Would it make a difference if I tried it with Stereo audio? At present, I load the ADV program and it either becomes frozen, or disappears altogether.
What do you mean that it was unsuccessful? What are you doing and what is the program doing or no doing in response? (And, naturally, is your DVD Architect project set up for 5.1 audio DVD?
Thank you for your responses. I am using build 122 of Vegas Movie Studio 14 Platinum. After watching a number of tutorials I have edited and rendered my project in MS 14 in Stereo sound, similar to what I did in the old version. All is well until I click on "Send to DVD Architect". DVDA opens without any problem. However, when I add my project and click "Make DVD", I get a message "An error occurred during the current operation. An exception has occurred". At this point everything becomes frozen and "Task Manager" indicates DVDA is not responding. The only way out is to click "End Task".
What happens you use the Render As method I describe 5 posts up to output audio and video streams and then add these files to your DVD Architect project by dragging them from the program's Explorer panel onto your menu page?
I have followed the " Render As" method you describe above. All went well, including dragging the files onto the menu page and running a preview. However when I clicked on "Make DVD" the same thing happened - "An error occurred during the current operation. An exception has occurred". Everything froze and I had to get out through Task Manager again. At this point I would like to have the old program back However, as I have said previously, whilst I have the discs to load the program, Movie Studio loads without problem but the serial number I use for Architect is not acceptable.
