Suggestions For VEGAS Pro 19.0

iEmby wrote on 2/21/2020, 11:08 AM
  • ADD: Full Screen Mode (Without Hiding Taskbar)
  • ADD: Skin Touchup Effect (As VEGAS In-Built Effect)
  • ADD: One can Change Default Transition to any Transition from Transition Tab (Directly)
  • IMPROVE: Fix Random Crashes Specially While Using Ripple / Auto Ripple
  • ADD: A Main Search Bar at Top of Video Preview Window To Search Transitions, Effects, Media Generator and Scripts To Directly Apply On Events To Fast Workflow.
  • ADD: A Single Button For Directly Applying Legacy Stabilizer On An Event As Media FX. There Should Be An Option Of Set A Default % Of Stabilizing Power.
  • ADD: Auto Shutdown / Sleep Feature After Render Complete
  • IMPROVE: When VEGAS Is Importing Large number Of Files, It Often Hangs While Reading Files After Just Selecting Files From Explorer. So I Will Suggest To Add A Progressing Bar For Importing Media Like In Adobe Premier.
  • ADD: If Possible, Prepare The Next Setup File Of VEGAS In a New Way That One Can Choose Which Features He / She Want To Install & Which Not. Because I Think Most of Editors Doesn't Use All Features. This Addition Can Make The VEGAS Light While Installation as Well As While Running.

1. Right click on taskbar, go to properties, "auto hide taskbar". No more taskbar.

2. Would be nice.

3. Would be nice as well.

4. They do this in all updates. Can't always get them all, but Vegas runs mostly stable now.

How Unplanned Crashes be fixed? The planned ones are on the R/D board.

Sheriff-adeyemi wrote on 2/21/2020, 1:42 PM

1. To update all audio plugins to newer versions like fabfilter pro q 3 we're u can see all the graphics where you can see all the frequencies and to have more EQ bands and to use a high pass filter and a low pass filter. 3D audio

To upgrade the 5.1 surround sound and make it more easier and to have more options and better like Pro tools
To be able to resize project settings not everyone can resize project because the screen is not big enough 2 show everything for example I can't press apply or cancel or ok in project properties because my screen is not big enough on a 14 inch laptop
To to be able to have the media management capabilities to collaborate with teams of editors and to do more complex stuff but user-friendly and to be able to do large projects for high budget films like Hollywood movie and to go down that route and to be user-friendly and to make Hollywood filmmakers that used avid or premiere Pro to cut the movies to cut the movies in Sony Vegas Pro
In general Vegas 17 is the best editing software but where where they could improve on is targeting people that want to cut Hollywood movies and the ability to be user-friendly and do more complex stuff without any limits and better media management for collaborating with a group of people on a big project thank u

to target people that want to do high level Hollywood movie editing like make it easy to collaborate with other editors just like avid media and to make things more easier so you can focus on the creative parts which is the contact. And be able to easily use external device such as big digital mixing desk to control the software and for 5.1 surround sound just like Pro tools to be able to record into each channel's using a mixing desk to support midi in midi out to have better transitions effects and videos and no cheesy one. to render up to 8k or 10k and to put disable resample of when you import a clip

fr0sty wrote on 2/21/2020, 2:31 PM

Much of this is already possible in Vegas, such as using external devices to do 5.1 audio mixing. I'd love to see full midi support in Vegas for various reasons, as well as VST 3 support. 8k is already possible, 10k a waste at this point. You can disable resample at the project level.

I know to edits 8k is possible but can u render In 8k and do Vegas have grey coloured curve for colour grading. I know u can do 5.1 surround sound but it must easier in Pro tools and there is no new tutorials on how to do it properly and for my computer I can't disable resample because my computer screen is not big enoughit will not let me resize it I make it smaller I used to see everything on my 15-inch laptop when are using HDMI cable to my TV put the screen on the laptop is small if you have any suggestions please tell me

Adobe Premiere Pro to Add Project Management, Multi-User Collaboration Tools and avid do something like this it would be nice to see something like this click this link https://variety.com/2020/digital/news/adobe-premiere-pro-productions-collaboration-workflow-1203476708/. And y do a lot of people use avid instead of Vegas Pro is it because u can collaborate as a team easily I know u can do that in Vegas Pro but is it is easier in avid. In most production house or film school you have to learn avid or premier Pro and a lot of people say Vegas Pro is designed for one-man operation which I don't think it's true and Vegas post is just like Adobe creative software . But I think they should add a tool or a software we're u can do cartoon animation or a separate software for audio editing sound design and big projects for sound engineers. please check the important link out and tell me your thoughts on it

https://digitalfilms.wordpress.com/2014/04/02/why-film-editors-love-avid-media-composer/
And and please what is your thoughts suggestions for magix Vegas Pro to be back in the Hollywood film industry again / TV show

"… but can u render In 8k and do Vegas have grey coloured curve for colour grading."

Yes, both is available in Vegas Pro 17.

Apart from removing bugs, my wish would be that, like in other programs, you could have not only a preview monitor window but also a source window next to it,which makes color grading or simply LUT matching much easier than with the split screen function. My previous attempts to use the trimmer window as a source monitor were not very satisfying. If a workaround is available, please inform me.

What do u think of avid is it better than Vegas or the other way round and which one is better avid or premier or Vegas for working on a big project as a team and y what is the advantages that avid and premier have that Vegas doesn't have

fr0sty wrote on 2/22/2020, 3:27 PM

Vegas 17 does have some collaboration features, such as the ability for editors to leave notes for each other in the project metadata, and I imagine the team would be looking to expand upon that in future versions. I'd personally love to see live synced editing, where multiple editors can all sign into one account and see the same timeline (this would require that they already have the media, a way to transfer that media online within Vegas would also be cool), and any changes made by any editor gets live-reflected on everyone's timeline at once, so you can have one person cutting while another goes behind and starts working on coloring, for instance.

I would really like to see what the fonts actually looks like in the drop down menu for font styles. When you have a lot of different fonts, trial and error to find the right one is time consuming.

1.) ProResRAW

2.) Instead of rendering 12 cores at 30%, I'd LOVE it to hit those cores at 95% the way other rendering apps do.
