Trial installation issues

FPA wrote on 3/11/2023, 6:59 AM

I installed the Vegas Pro POST trial (Win x64) 3 days ago to test before buy. I realized that only the POST version was installed, not the POST 365, as the speech to text feature is very important to me. On the first run, I was notified that only one day was left for the trial version. The next day, I decided to uninstall all and reinstall. Now I can't even launch the program since the trial time has ended. Ho wcan I use the trial period to make some tests? Thanks

Not a scripting question... I don't think the 365 part has a trial.

The Vegas Pro trial period is 30 days - https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/free-trials/video-editor-free-download/

As you will see from that trial description, additional features such as speech-to-text (and v-v) are available only if a subscription option is chosen: i.e. speech-to-text is not available with the trial version because that feature comes with a usage cost to MAGIX.

Since your 30 days trial period has expired, you might want to consider subscribing to the month-by-month subscription option which, to the best of my knowledge, does allow you to cancel that subscription option within the Ts+Cs - but do read them closely to see if they are okay with you.

Dexcon, this is the trial description: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/ca/free-trials/video-editor-free-download/. Do you see any mention about a restriction? I don't.

My 30 day period DID NOT EXPIRE. As I said in my initial message, on the first start up only 1 day was left for the trial period, not 30.

If I can't try all the features of an app I plan to buy, I simply put a cent on it. How can that be even called a trial version then?

Perhaps contact MAGIX at infoservice@magix.net to discuss further.

@FPA As you mention, unfortunately the VEGAS products website (by Marketing Dept..?) does not make it clear that you can trial (for free) only the core VEGAS Pro program, not VEGAS Post. (A user experience reported previously e.g. here.) As @Dexcon suggested, "Purchase Consultation Contact" email address is infoservice@magix.net.

(And I don't understand why "on the first start up only 1 day was left for the trial period, not 30" or 29.)

I confirm, a lot of things are not clear!

Honestly, have that much issue before even trying an app doesn't reconfort me paying anything for it ...

Thanks for your feedback guys.
