Trial not downloading

asinine wrote on 1/16/2018, 2:21 AM

Hello, I wanted to download the trial cause I just wanted to make a quick video and it took an hour to download but literally nothing got downloaded except a thing called Connect by MAGIX. No Vegas Pro 15. I tried it again and it still didn't download?

I honestly have no idea. I guess I can try other video programs to use but I actually know how to use Sony Vegas cause I used to have Sony Vegas 8. (I just ended up loosing my email that my serial was connected to...rip...lol) so I'd like to really use this if I could.

Please and thank you.

Update: So I tried my dads computer and everything downloaded perfectly. I noticed a difference when downloading... It'll say "preparing to download Sony Vegas Pro 15.0" then go straight to FINISH. where for his it said other stuff (couldnt see it went too fast) after the "preparing to download-" screen before finishing.

I don't know if this could be a issue. I honestly don't know what to do I've never had a problem like this with a program.

Normally programs will actually download then you could experience a error so...?!

EDIT: this isnt a solution to my problem i still 100% need this on my laptop i hope someone can help me.

Have you gone through the sections in https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-why-can-t-i-install-vegas-pro--104783/ ?

@vkmast Yes that is how I ended up here. Step 9. I couldnt find anything. I found a older post with multiple people having the same problem and nobody helped them either.

It's a very odd problem I have no idea what could be causing it.

It's day 3 with trying to install this and same issues.

Have you compared the specs/configurations of the computer and the laptop for possible differences that might be causing the failure? I suppose that you tried to use the same installer in both.

You could try installing from the full installer, rather than the normal download manager. I *think* it will enable you to do a free trial, but I'm not 100% sure.

@vkmast The computer is very superior in every way but my laptop still has every system requirement met. I used the same exact installer.

@Nick Hope (cant tag) I tried that installer as well.

New issues, the installer now sits at, "Please wait for initial configuration of VEGAS pro 15.0. This may take a few moments."

I had it sitting for 4 hours and it remained the same. ended up exiting out of it and trying again and it just started doing what it was doing before.

I ended up just installing adobe premiere trial. Three days trying is too long I have stuff I have to finish. I really wish I could have got Vegas cause I actually know how to use the program to its full potential. But, I guess learning another program is ok. Thanks for trying to help.
