Unable to register on new laptop

Howdy,
 

I had bought Vegas 14 Pro off of humble bundle a number of years ago and used it on my old laptop. Now that I have a new laptop I tried re-downloading it and it does not recognize the email I used to register it after it finished installing (Error Code 24). This was downloaded from Humble Bundle directly and I have the serial number for it. I just tried to register this version of Vegas 14 Pro with MAGIX service center but it says that it has already been registered and it is not necessary to do so again, even though it does not appear under My Products? This is the error code verbatim from the service center:

" Serial number already used

The serial number you entered has already been used. You may have already registered. Registering again is not necessary. If you have any questions, please contact out technical support team"

Key Points here:

I have the email and serial number for Vegas 14 Pro

It was initially installed on an old laptop.

The instillation wizard does not recognize the email attached to the product.

MAGIX service center does not want to register it for some reason to my account.

Typically you would see "error -24" if you typed your serial number incorrectly or "the app is registered already under a different email address or login information is messed up."

If the standard Support advice does not help, you need to Ask Support. A user-created tutorial here.
