The Telstra test is for Australian users. The global speedtest is here: https://www.speedtest.net/

I'm also getting timeouts so wherever the Magix servers are, they are slow for users in E. Asia.

(At the moment I'm getting 15 down an 80 up which is worse than normal for download speeds- must be congested.)

Thanks for the link @RogerS. From that, I got DL 54.10 and UL 18.19 - which is quite similar to the Telstra speed test. MAGIX servers must therefore be sluggish for S E Asia / Australasia.

My ping and numbers were way worse with Telstra. Speedtest generally sends you to a server in your country, though you can change that if you want to test intl. linkages. I'll wait a day or two to get Effects.

I just spoke to EE, these figures are what they expect for my connection, so i agreed to a £7pm extra on my contract for an upgrade of fibre right to the house, rather than fibre to a street box then from there copper phone cable to the house which i'm on, I should get more than double the speeds 👍 we'll see 😁

Hi, just thought i'd share, I've just had fibre internet cable fitted, it replaces the old copper BT phone cable,

Ookla speed test says -

The lads that fitted the cable recommended Fast.com https://fast.com/
