Trying to update my VEGAS Pro 18 (build 334), and I'm getting the following error:

How do I work around this?

Weird, this is the 4th report like this I've seen. Did you download it from the direct link here?

If I were you I'd uninstall Vegas and reinstall from the download at that link. Your settings should persist.

See also this comment which seems to support @RogerS's suggestion.

(Btw, you need to delete the closing ")" from the link in the OP.)

I help fix the link issue.

As for this audio cleaning 'conflict' issue, we have reported to VEGAS team as well, and they are trying finding out the problem too.

No, this is from within VEGAS 18 Pro when I am prompted to perform the update.

Did you resolve your issue?

If you have Sound Forge installed, try updating that first. Then back to the Vegas update.

I had similar errors and this worked for me.

Jim-Gale wrote on 1/17/2021, 4:04 PM

Nope. Since I don't use Sound Forge, I had to look up what the latest version is that was auto-installed. 14 apparently. I had to activate it to run it so it could update. Updated it. Retried Vegas Pro 18 with the same failed message above. Note that every attempt to update REQUIRES a 702mb download EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Someone isn't testing properly, or using efficient methods for updating.
