Upgrade only accepts Master Card

John-Janssen wrote on 5/8/2022, 8:11 AM

I received your offer to upgrade Vegas 18. However in the payment section it only accepts Master Card. I have a VISA credit card. Why do you not offer other common payment options such as VISA and IDEAL? Can you let me know how i can order the upgrade and pay with either VISA or IDEAL?

This was in the dutch version of your webshop.

That is not an answer to my question. Please read it again and send me a real answer, not a link to an irrelevant FAQ.

@John-Janssen

Please note that this is a user to user forum and we are not the party that sent you the offer to upgrade Vegas 18. We do not also offer you any payment options. It is MAGIX as you can plainly see in the links given.

The latter link advises that Visa is actually one of the payment methods if the actions mentioned in the first link are performed. Please read the links. You might also try to change to international shop to order.

If you have any further questions or issues, please send a message to infoservice@magix.net as advised in one of the links you considered "irrelevant". I'm sorry I can't help you further.

Dear all, sorry if i have offended you, but i had the impression i was contacting Magix directly. It appears that all service requests on the Magix websites eventually link through to this community only, also the link you gave in your fist message and not to the Magix service center. I spend half an hour trying to find contact information of Magix. It is non existant. I have not been able retrieve the email you supplied, but i will certainly use it to make a complaint. Within the EU it is obligatory for corporate webshops to supply contact information such as telephone numbers and email addresses.

VEGAS Support for VEGAS products starts here https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/support/ (advice here).

MAGIX products support starts here.

Purchase consultation contact: https://www.magix.com/int/support/customer-service

Phone numbers: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/int/support/

You are advised to try and contact Online Live Chat instead though. Advice here.

Personal experience: I've been able to email infoservice@magix.net every time I have needed to try and have received a response in 1 or 2 working days. (I do not know what you mean by "I have not been able retrieve the email you supplied.")

Sorry if the links are irrelevant again.

Dear vkmast. I appreciate your help and your sarcasm ("Sorry if the links are irrelevant again") which i understand. Thank you for all the links. Apparently Magix has scattered their contact information all over the internet, but not at the place where i needed it most. I have now spent quite some time trying to find it but on the websites i visited there is none. They either link through to extensive FAQs (which are not helpful) and quite cowardly to this wonderful community of volunteers.

BTW i manage to solve it myself and version 19 is now installing on my PC.

@John-Janssen as both of us spent considerable time with your issue, I (and I believe many of the potential purchases in the same predicament, not to mention the users following this thread) would appreciate if you'd tell us how you solved it yourself. Thank you.

+1 @diverG

Certainly. When you are presented with the payment details it lists the payment option you have chosen for your previous purchase (probably in an attempt to be helpful). What it does not say is that you have to change it here if this is no longer valid. Just click on the button next to the payment option (in my case Master Card) and then you are presented with other options. If you do not change this here (which i did the first time) then you are presented with youe previous choice as the only option at the next page (authorisation).
