Thanks xberk.  Having had a quick look at vegasaur.com seems I will have to upgrade that as well to work in 14.  As for New Blue its not clear from the website so I will contact support.

Can I ask if you have noticed any improvements in performance?

Thanks Nick.  Just saw your response.

Improvement in performance?  If you mean playback and rendering .. Frankly no.  No noticeable improvement over V13 for me.  But I'm not a power user with loads of FX and CC etc.  I like the new veloctiy envelope up to 1000% .. That's an real improvement and time saver.  For me it was a hankering to finally own Mercalli.  I've yet to find a use for the CMOS fixer but otherwise I'm happy with the upgrade considering the usefulness of the Mercalli plugin. The NewBlue works too but I have yet to make use of it.  Need some time with the NewBlue.  ProType just seems to do all I need right now.

Just in case it helps anyone else I contacted New Blue,  Edward is very helpful.  SImple question will all my New Blue plugins work with 14...

John, there answer is generally yes. I know there are a few Titler Pro issues depending on what version of Titler you may currently have. Also, Stabilizer is not appearing in Vegas Pro 14 for some reason. But all these issues will be resolved in a future update of those products.

I really would like to know what the exact cut-off time is for this offer so I can figure out what I need to do and when. As I already said, I may have to do this at the last minute.

Thanks.

You need to upgrade Vegasaur from 2 to 3 for VP14. There was a 25%-off Black Friday offer. Don't know if it's still on.

I went looking for that on Friday but I never saw it. Seems to have gone now. How was it advertised, thanks.

I got it by email with a long link that lands me on a special page but I'd better not share the URL unless I get the go-ahead from the developer. I will PM him.

There is no difference, no matter which link you use.
Even if you go directly to the side you get the Discount

I just called them and the guy I talked to does not know. He said that he would forward my question and that it could take a few days before I would get an answer. So that would not help me at all. So UNLESS a person from Magix who actually knows the answer chimes in here and gives me the information I need then I probably will have to skip this sale.

In the future, they need to show the actual cut-off time for sales such as this. Most businesses do. They will not only show the end date but also the cut-off time AND what time zone they are going by.

As I told the guy I was talking to, these sales always end on the last day of the month while many people get paid on the first of the month. I can only imagine how many sales they lose because of this. My credit is maxed from other things I needed so I cannot use credit for the purchase.

Maybe Magix could extend this a few days?

I got to take a walk to burn off the blood sugar and will check back later on today.

Thanks again.

I am still waiting for answers to my questions. One was attempted and I did discuss the issue with Edward at NewBlue who told me he was having communication problems. Should I dive in the shalow end of the pool here? I was hoping someone from Magix could address my issues.

'This year's best VEGAS Pro 14 upgrade offer':

since your feature highlights include '» NewBlue Titler Pro Express & NewBlue Looks' it might be worth the mention, in the interest of full disclosure, that this is Version 3 of the Titler (not like current Version=5), which is not really any longer supported, and currently not working, otherwise people like me might feel they can expect a working version and purchase the software because of that, like I did.

my current Win10/64 system (latest drivers, water cooled) :

Intel Coffee Lake i5 Hexacore (unlocked, but not overclocked) 4.0 GHz on Z370 chipset board,

32GB (4x8GB Corsair Dual Channel DDR4-2133) XMP-3000 RAM,

Intel 600series 512GB M.2 SSD system drive running Win10/64 home automatic driver updates,

Crucial BX500 1TB EDIT 3D NAND SATA 2.5-inch SSD

2x 4TB 7200RPM NAS HGST data drive,

Intel HD630 iGPU - currently disabled in Bios,

nVidia GTX1060 6GB, always on latest [creator] drivers. nVidia HW acceleration enabled.

main screen 4K/50p 1ms scaled @175%, second screen 1920x1080/50p 1ms.

>>o be clear. I need to know if my current New Blue Titler 3 will work in the "upgrade" to Vegas Edit 14.

I own NewBlue Titler Pro 3.  It does not run with VP14. If you must have New Blue Titler PRo 3 EXACTLY as it runs and works in VP13 -- then stick with VP13.   I did get a version from NewBlue that runs under VP14.  Seems good to me (very powerful in fact)  but I'm not expert enough to say it is as good or better or works the same as NP3 ..

May have been PST (US/Canada) then that was the last chance for the BF offer. Currently the Net Notify pop-up offers the "regular special" prices from $199 up as an "Exclusive winter deal".

In the future, I wish they would indicate that information in their ads.
