Is there a language barrier that we’re facing here? I don’t want to render wmv since I was using that in 2004 with Vegas 4HD. Im saying that currently with the new build 643 there is a hiccup with mp4. My system has all the resources to render fine. Before the build update, no issues. Im only using WMV as reference.

There IS an issue with MP4’s… v19 build 643 freezes and causing to send an error report. If you have a proper fix for this, I’d love to hear it.

@BEN-WAXMAN Check your GPU driver is up to date, Studio driver 516.59. I read pretty much every comment on here & people have problems rendering but it's not because of 'no 4k support'

@BEN-WAXMAN Also please tell us what's in your problem mp4s. Instructions for providing mediainfo here https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-to-post-mediainfo-and-vegas-pro-file-properties--104561/

For help you need to provide info about your CPU and GPU, media you are using (see Eric's link) and also a screenshot of your render settings. There's no general problem with rendering to mp4, so we need to understand your case.

Referencing WMV seemed to have confused people but I think you were just saying that you can render to other formats.

I just finished rendering a 4K MP4 video with build 643. Not one hiccup. The video was from a Panasonic G9. I used transitions from BorisFX, Vitascene Pro 3, Vegas and video fx from Boris, SeMW, and others.

Question to you @BEN-WAXMAN, and this is out of curiosity since I am considering upgrading to the GPU you are currently using, in Preferences>File I/O, do you have check marked Enable legacy AVC and HEVC decoding? And if you turn OFF GPU acceleration in Preferences>Video, does it render then?

i got excited at first because i didn't remember if those options were selected... unfortunately, they were and the issue remains. all GPU drivers and software are up to date. I reset ALL Vegas settings back to default. Reinstalled a new copy of 19/643... don't know how to get a previous build download. This all started once Vegas updated with new build. I wish I could just get a link to the previous build download file and be done with this.
