It is worth to upgrade to latest version? I'm stuck with my content as I'm unable to editing videos.

@Maciej-Durbajlo well, download the trial version and find out. Maybe because you are using "Sony" Vegas 19 and there is no such software?

Which version of "Sony" Vegas 19 are you using? What is MediaInfo saying about the files you are working on? What is Preview Quality set to? What effects are you using?

Yes.

In general there aren't massive differences between 19 and 21.

The biggest variable is what media you are using. If it's constant framerate short GOP AVC or ProRes it should be fine in both. For HEVC, 21 has some worthwhile improvements with more likely to come.

If your CPU is a K model enable the Intel iGPU in bios as it does a better job with decoding in VEGAS.

Hi, I'm using Vegas Pro 19, I have use all off the preview setting to try find best one. No effects are used.

Main problem is that Vegas pro 19 was working fine on default settings for months and recently after latest update, I can't use software anymore. For my video editing I don't need to upgrade as my video's are from gameplays only with no effects.

Reyfox wrote on 11/18/2023, 9:21 AM

What latest update? If you've been using it for months, you should had already installed the latest version when you bought it. Development on VP19 stopped a while back.

vkmast wrote on 11/18/2023, 10:00 AM

@Reyfox he may mean the May '23 VP 19 emergency patch (build 651) which was needed due to the bug that affected the previous builds. But if he bought a "Sony" version (19 or 21 upgrade) that might explain the software (update) not working.

Reyfox wrote on 11/18/2023, 10:36 AM

@vkmast, yes, that is a possibility. But the OP hasn't given the necessary information. And if the update did cause issues, he would not have been able to use VP19 in the first place, hence the reason to update. But nothing like that was said about that.

Main problem is that Vegas pro 19 was working fine on default settings for months and recently after latest update, I can't use software anymore.

That doesn't sound right. We all knew what that last VP19 patch was about. And the OP never once mentioned it.

I did completely uninstall Vegas 19 and install it again. Didn't help, still unable to use preview. It's enjoying as it pushing me to upgrade to V21 and spend $129, only for preview working.

Try one of the same projects in my signature. If they work it's not a VEGAS issue and likely an issue with the media.
