How many computers do you need to use your VEGAS Pro on?

From the main FAQ: "How many computers can I use VEGAS Pro on?
You can use VEGAS Pro (14.0 and later) simultaneously on 2 devices. VEGAS Pro 365 can be used on 1 device at a time.

To deactivate a device, so you can activate a different one, visit your MAGIX account > My Products > Show More Details > Deactivate. This option can be used only once a month.

In VEGAS Pro 14.0 or later, you can also choose Deactivate the Software on this PC from the Help menu This option can be used as often as you wish. An internet connection is required."

You may need to purchase another license (preferably from the vegascreativesoftware.com website). Presales questions: email infoservice@magix.net

is it possible to get an extra license for my vegas pro?

Yes it is. You purchase as many licenses as you need! Need another license? Purchase another copy.

You could deactivate VP on one of the PCs and reactivate on the third, then reverse the procedure to go back when it is not needed. Another license is a better option if you need to frequently use VP on all three PCs.

Note the two methods of deactivating, if you decide not to purchase another license.

I don't see a contradiction here. Deactivate and reactivate as you like from inside the program.

Verbatim from MAGIX Sales Dept. June 2019 to my query:

"It is possible to log in and manage your currently activated machines via the MAGIX account.
You have the option here to deactivate a machine, should you wish to install and activate on a new computer. This is possible once per month.
An other option is to deactive the devices directly through the program after a new installation and that is unlimited possible.
"

This was tested and confirmed at the time by a VEGAS Support staff member.

I guess I was reading the pop-up message incorrectly. To me, it seemed to say you will no longer be able to use it on "the original machine." (ever) I guess it was implied that it meant "until you reactivated it, after deactivating it on a different machine."

@Len Kaufman please obscure the S/N for security reasons.

@vkmast I just migrated my entire hard drive to a new machine (including brand new hard drive). When I tried to open Vegas Pro 19, it produced an error code -59, which says There is no license to use this software. It didn't go past the error code. So, even though the program has been brought over (in theory) should I download a fresh install? Will all of my plug-ins, etc. be lost or needing to be re-installed?

Looking under programs on the new machine, it's all there. Just won't open to the point where I can type in my serial number. And yes, I de-activated it on the old machine.

@vkmast Thanks. That was stupid on my part. I had to delete my original post to get rid of the screen shot.
