If all else fails, try uninstalling and reinstalling again, but use a third-party uninstaller like 'Revo Uninstall' that can remove left-over registry entries and other pertinent data the OS uninstall leaves behind, which can cause issues to reoccur. Revo Uninstall has a pro and freeware versions. The free version is adequate in most cases unless a forced uninstall is needed. I recommend using the advanced scan mode option, but be careful of deleting a shared plug-ins from another SCS product. btw, Revo is highly regarded and often recommend by Magix tech support.
