Hello, can you tell me when will Vegas Pro 16 really come out? Will there really be novelties, a new reworked interface, new codec for export, others? Thank you
This forum's NEWS (Messages) section will have the post about the new version on the release date. At the moment there's no news about it. Any possible "early reveals/sneak peeks" will be published by the Vegas Team here or in Vegas Magazine.

Vegas15 people were promised another revision. I would hope that's still happening. Vegas15 has been a very beta software experience & to make users pay for a bug fixed version by releasing VP16 instead would be a PR nightmare. I would advise Vegas not to do that, it would drive some users away forever.
"Vegas15 has been a very beta software experience & to make users pay for a bug fixed version by releasing VP16 instead would be a PR nightmare.", honestly that's been what has happened with every version of Vegas for a long time now. It's been a partially-broken program for many years. That said, it does what I need and does it quickly and efficiently, for the most part, so I stick around despite the occasional headache.
As for news about 16, don't count on it. With 15, all we got is news that it was coming and a couple sparse mentions of new features that, honestly, weren't that exciting at the time. We didn't get any more info about the program until launch day.
They did say another VP15 update is due, maybe even more than that considering 14 had like 6-7 updates if I remember right. Since they seem to be taking their time with this one, I hope it is a well featured and stable update.
I wished Magix would introduce a 'Beta-Tester' concept where owners of a previous version can test a new one for free for the period of time that's required to find new bugs (like missing timecode in XAVC-S clips inVP15) until a stable & relatively bug free New version is releasable regardless of calendar month. i always wonder how many coders are fixing bugs, and who is working on the new version, and if they talk to each other, and what the priorities are. With VP16, perhaps 365?
It is supposed to come out this month and according to Magix, will have built-in motion tracking, which Premiere and Magix's Movie Edit Pro already have. Personally, I'm excited about motion tracking as that opens up a Pandora's box of crashes (just kidding) along with the possibilities of doing more (and better) visual effects inside Vegas itself and not having to deal with it manually with masking or going into another program and rendering out the effect there.
I am just guessing, but I imagine Magix is simply taking the motion tracking they already have in Movie Edit Pro and are simply plugging it into Vegas. And that's fine, so long as it works and does what it is supposed to. If the motion tracking looks anything like what Constantin "Hot Stuff" Gabor shows us in this video, then you know that's exactly what they did. LOL.
That sort of motion tracking isn't exactly "hot stuff" (how long did it take you to find THAT particular demonstration?? ahaha) .... not compared to Mocha AE even, (cut down version which comes free with AE) and Mocha makes a plug in for Vegas, which I would hope would be that solution, or if Magix can provide are serious motion tracking beyond 'following the bum bum'.... wow, just wow.....ahaha

Karma17 was giving an example of what's likely, although I'd hope there would be many more options to a Vegas variant, that they hide for simplicity in Magix MVE. Other possibilities could be the now retired BCC motion tracker - match move, or even the hitfilm express motion tracker. Magix has a relationship with both companies. BorisFX have said they're not releasing a cut down version of mocha with Vegas16.

Even that kind of tracker does the trick and doesn't cost $600 or a $50/month subscription, so even if that turns out to be the case I'd be happy with it. It may not be a planar tracker, or maybe it'll gain that ability later, we'll have to wait and see.
I really hope that the motion tracking that'll come with Vegas Pro 16 is going to be better than the one shown in the YouTube video above because that'd just be a terrible joke from Magix...
I hope the motion tracking in 16 will be fully featured complete and permanent. I'm fed up with getting a new version of Vegas only to find that much lauded features are little more than demos that stop woring when the next version comes out.
Vegas needs at least a couple of things, without which it is doomed to become a multi-track audio editor again. This nested timline & hardware decoding Nvenc. If this does not happen, users will go to the Resolv

That said they should also start preparing for bigger video sizes, not just 4K. I tried to do a super ultra widescreen project as example to be played on multiple monitors in a row and it wouldn't allow me to do that sadly...

The good news it is Vegas Pro 16 will be available in last August of 2018 as a free upgrade from Vegas Pro 15.
There are some features will be available after the release of VP16.
