User of Vegas pro 14, i am interested in Vegas pro 16.
Currently i own a Nvidia 3060ti card. Do you know if Vegas pro 16 supports GPU acceleration for this card ?
It should support it for NVENC renders and GPU accelerated Fx, etc. I don't believe 16 supports hardware decoding (correct me if I'm wrong). The best thing about it would be to buy it cheaply and then upgrade to 18 or 19 later.
I think that's right ... VP16 does not have the File I/O tab in Options/Preferences, which first appeared in VP17.

I installed 16 last night (I was using 12 so big leap for me) and even on my dinosaur hardware system it ran well. Loads my MTS files with no problems. And actually seems to run better than V12 does.
Question. Just to be certain--if one purchases such a bundle, are they then eligible for upgrade pricing to later versions? Years ago I purchased a couple of "extra" versions of both V14 and V15, but never tried to purchase an upgrade based on those serial numbers. There seemed to be some question of whether those who purchased Steam versions were eligible for upgrade pricing.
Regardless, it's a great deal and if nothing else makes a great gift.
Curious though, it included FXHome enhance ultra, which I have installed and registered, but it does not show up in Vegas 16 as an effect (or anything else really). Anybody familiar with this plug-in and know why it is not showing up?
I see others are having problems as well on Magix Hitfilm support forum. Maybe they will solve it.
I'm having trouble activating Vegas Pro 16 edit and movie studio 16. I downloaded the programs and registered them on the magix website but when I start the programs I get Error -59 saying there is no registration for the products.
I've followed the instructions listed here and still get the same error after reinstalling.
I've fully uninstalled all versions of Sony Vegas Pro from all hard drives. I've deleted all sony/vegas folders from appdata, programdata, program files, x86. I've removed all Sony entries from my registry, and run ccleaner to fix registry entries. I've restarted my pc, and reinstalled vegas. Same issue persists.

@Jackson-Barton Maybe it's because you should better use a purchased software from Magix. This SONY software has not been available from Sony for 6 years.

I posted about the same issue and cannot get the plugins to show up - Vegas at first would crash when adding to timeline and finally Vegas downloaded the Codecs to handle an mp4 [whew] - after 3 crashes, all is good on that front - maybe a future mystery download will enable these plugins. [clock_start = now] - I am wondering if you need to move the plugin install folder to another place - or if by creating a new folder and dropping plugins into new folder - might solve this problem?
EDIT: after checking the user/username/localAppData/VEGAS/plugins - i see the FXHome but the plugins are identical to Hit Film so... I do not think the Plugin adds anything - the same effects, I cannot find that 5 new plugins are locatable on my system, they must be somewhere though - the mystery evolves...

Yes, there are some hitfilm plugins apparently included in the Vegas 16 install, and then there are some ignite plugins that aren't showing up. the Hitfilm forum is sending people to Magix and the Magix is sending people to the Vegas so who knows.
Same here. Bought the Humble Bundle with Vegas 16 and the Ignite Enhance Ultra OFX don't show up (not in Vegas, not in DaVinci Resolve). Installled, re-installed, etc. The plugin is installed in C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins. Asked FXHOME for support, they redirect here to Magix. 😨
the Hitfilm forum is sending people to Magix and the Magix is sending people to the Vegas so who knows.
The Ignite Enhance Ultra package (a hugely over-blown name for a small selection of Ignite plugins) does not seem to be available directly from FXHome - it seems to be a package specially designed for the Humble-Bundle Vegas Pro 16 offer - so I'm not sure why vegascreativesoftware is responsible for fixing this. Hopefully, Humble-Bundle would have tested VP16/Ignite Enhance Ultra compatibility before releasing, but the broad feedback on various forums this would seem to suggest that they didn't do so.
This is a bit reminiscent of the full Ignite Pro package problem a couple of years ago where Ignite Pro 4.0 and earlier would not work in Vegas Pro (VP) 17 (and thus 18). To get Ignite Pro to work in VP17 and above, version 4.1 was needed - but then you needed to have a then current subscription for Ignite Pro in order to get 4.1.
Personally, I think that the resolution to the problem lies with Humble-Bundle because that is the company that sold the VP16/Ignite Enhance Ultra package.
Re opening in other NLEs like Resolve - or even later versions of Vegas Pro, there is always the possibility that a plugin package like this Ignite 'special' from Humble-Bumble might be license-locked to Vegas Pro 16

Because of the business model of humblebundle, I don't see them being held responsible. Hitfilm and Magix make this software available to them to sell at these prices. Compatibility should be the responsibility of the provider in this type of package. But it does seem that Enhance Ultra Package was possibly created just for this promotion. There is actually one effect that it includes that I was interested in but I can live without it.
Compatibility should be the responsibility of the provider
Absolutely - but Humble-Bumble is the one-and-only sole provider of this offer.

Yes, absolutely. But it was HitFilm that provided the plugin. Surely they should have ensured that their plugin would work in the NLE host offered by Humble-Bumble - as should have the provider, Humble-Bumble,
