VEGAS Pro 17.0 Validating error

Juergi wrote on 2/2/2021, 11:42 AM

I want to burn a BlueRay with VEGAS Pro 17.0, but I get an error message after finishing the rendering:
"Status:MUXComp: Validating error. --- The schema for the namespace "http://temuri.org/ProjectDefinition.xsd" cannot be loaded. The file .... could not be found"
Since this is my first time working with VEGAS, I am completely overwhelmed at the moment. I work with WIN 10.

Thank you for your support. Unfortunately, I can only manage my English with a translator.

Best regards Vegas community:

I have the same issue like Juergi user. I add screen captures of that.

Info:
SO: W10Pro 64 Bits (20H2)

Intel i7 3.40 Ghz

RAM 8 GB

nVidia GeForce GT430

Movie Studio Platinum 17 (204)

As an additional comment, I have the 12 & 13 MSP versions. I've been working successfully with both separately without problems. Curiously I have noted about a month ago, that error message window appeared three times. First with 12 version, after that happens too with the 13 version. Finally I tried with DVD Architect Studio 5.0 and the project felt down. Since that I have couldn't record any Blu ray disc.

I was thinking probably the older MSP versions would be outdated and that was the reason what recently I have bought the 17 version. But unfortunately, even with the new version happened again.

I don't know if W10 updates have affected the MSP architecture or something like that.

Can somebody help please? I really need direction.

Search "tempuri" on the forum. You'd see e.g. this thread.

Thanks vkmast, hi Joshua 17,

last night I was able to solve the problem, because at this link

Hi Realhelp,

I inherited responsibility for the bdmux code a little while back and I think I can shed some light on your two questions:

1) The tempuri.org entry is a FAKE website that is used everywhere xsd is used in software/webpages. It is not a real website and is never attempted to be accessed.
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tempuri

2) From the error message you get my guess that internally the bdmux generation code is attempting to use a file in your temp path without properly quoting it, so it is accessing "V:\Vegas" as the path rather than including the rest of name after the space. Give a try to setting the path to V:\Vegas_Temp or V:\VegasTemp and, though I haven't tested it, I'd bet that it works afterward.

Let me know if this helps,

Nate"

After changing the path for the temporary files accordingly (on my PC drive "E") I could change my BlueRay without any problems.

Best regards and thanks for the support

Hi Juergi. I've been trying what you wrote at this topic on 2/9/21 but I can't record a BD yet.

Please could you explain step by step how you did it?
