VEGAS Pro 365 vs VEGAS Pro 19

True-H wrote on 10/31/2021, 9:15 AM

Inoticed that the subscription of Vegas Pro (VEGAS Pro 365) is much more expensive than the VEGAS Pro 19 which is very strange becouse all other compaines make the subscription license much cheaper than the perpetual license not the other way around!

I understand that VEGAS Pro 365 offers few exclusive features (50GB mobile to timeline, Royalty-free stock content and Text to speech) but is that even worth the $239.88 asking price over the $199 for VEGAS Pro 19?

The stock music and footage itself goes for a lot more than that...

I am truly not sure if it is worth it that is why I am asking. Can I upgrade from Vegas Pro 19 to VEGAS Pro 365 to try it out, then revert back to Vegas Pro 19 if I change my mind?

Are the stock music and footage are made only for Vegas? Meaning are they avaible from other companies by a mean of subscription?

If you do find a way to "upgrade" (=get an "upgrade pricing") from your (perpetual) VEGAS Pro 19 to the VEGAS Pro subscription version, you still should have your perpetual license. Try the 1-month subscription payment plan first but be sure to check "Purchasing details" at the website before purchasing. Anyway, you could/should also contact infoservice@magix.net for pre-sales questions.

@vkmast If they offer a free trial for the subscription version I will go ahaed. I am not willing to spend $34.99 for a one month trial .

As @vkmast said, you should contact Infoservice@magix.net if you are not sure.
We are a user-to-user forum here and can't tell you anymore what you and I read on the Magix homepage.

Look at annual prices for services like Artlist, Storyblocks, etc. to see the market value of stock footage and music.
