That is a powerfull machine. Maybe one issue could be to use the latest driver of the Geforce. I do not know really, but I would test it with older drivers.

But to test that more generic - Maybe it is a good idea to start Windows in the secure mode, to see if that helps.

I'm trying this right now !

You could send the reports, when they have the right dates, to Magix.

Yeah i've sent it to them, in case here is the .dmp files if someone know how to deal with it.. https://mega.nz/#!jQxlSa4a!cnjNEzyCSIv_AtL9d1w25a8DWQ1sfCNE8cOsV2Z_g3o

Is it possible that your anti virus software is compromising the install process?  Have you tried disabling your AV and then installing.  I always download software, scan it and then turn AV off to carry out the install process. Once installed reboot from a cold start, turn AV back on and the test program.

Still using VP14 and no plans to advance to VP16.

When I first installed V15 after using V14 I had an immediate crash white screen on start and it was due to an extension. Once this was removed from the V14 install (it seems that Vegas install's pick up shared folders from previous versions such as extensions, scripts, audio filters that may not be compatible with the new version) it loaded fine. The developer who supplied the extension then offered a modified one compatible with V16, all was fine again. it is clear that V16 is failing on initialisation/configuration. I am using a 1080Ti and latest drivers with trial V16 and there is no conflict.

(Intel 3rd gen i5@4.1GHz, 32GB RAM, SSD, 1080Ti GPU, Windows 10) Not now used with Vegas.

are you on Windows 10? Have you recently or ever done the big april update? I had severe troubles with Vegas and Hitfilm express after that ( Hitfilm would crash right on start and Vegas crashed when switching to external preview) and did a complete reinstall of Windows 10. Things were running smoothly afterwards.

Hello guys, thanks for all the reply, i finally solved the problem.

Yesterday i had a new problem on my computer that appears after trying to make vegas work (lol), my mouse/the sound of my computer and video was laggy. So to correct this problem i tried to soft reset my computer (didn't work) so i made a hard reset of my C: (where windows is installed) it didn't work for the mouse/sound problem but vegas pro 16 worked verry well after that, don't really know why but it worked ! (i didn't tried vegas after the soft reset but i think it would work)

And for my mouse/sound problem, i've been searching for the solution for like 15 hours straight (can't sleep when my lovely computer is having trouble ahah 😭), and it was simply windows defender who made my pc doing sh*t. I uninstalled immediatly the program and now EVERYTHING IS WORKING !

Thanks to everyone again for trying so hard to help me !

Have a nice day, i finally can play with VP16 :D

What does it mean to do a soft/hard reset, as Alexadrevegax is talking about?

I am having the same problem. I have redownloaded and reinstalled a number of times and I get a crash error with VP16, everytime. Very disheartened. Has anyone come up with a solution because I have never had this problem with any of the past 10 versions of vegas pro.
