VP17 Manual: Font error

Got this weird font error since I installed a latest Win10 update or nVidia creator drivers rendering the whole manual unreadable:

ideas how to resolve this, or am I the only one (have re-downloaded to no effect)?

my current Win10/64 system (latest drivers, water cooled) :

Intel Coffee Lake i5 Hexacore (unlocked, but not overclocked) 4.0 GHz on Z370 chipset board,

16GB (2x8GB Corsair Dual Channel DDR4-2133) XMP-3000 RAM,

Intel 600series 512GB M.2 SSD system drive running Win10/64 home automatic driver updates,

4TB 7200RPM NAS HGST data drive,

Intel HD630 iGPU - currently disabled in Bios,

nVidia GTX1060 6GB, always on latest [creator] drivers. nVidia HW acceleration enabled.

main screen 4K/50p 1ms scaled @175%, second screen 1920x1080/50p 1ms.

Shall try Edge. BTW, internal help file keeps crashing VP on Search function. hmm..??

yes. find vegas170.cfm, put a shortcut on desktop, and do INDEX before searching ;-) hurray!

Everybody? What is "Edge"? And why publish THE Document for VP17 and not have it Q&A-ed by Users who've got the latest W10 and Acrobat to read it?

Edge = Microsoft's browser that has replaced Internet Explorer since the intro of W10.

So, is there an iOS version I read on my iPad? I can read PDFs, this is so weird in terms of cross platform that as an education option it is restricted to M$?

uh-huh . . . Just emailed myself with that Manual, couldn't d/l from my products, and am now reading in AR on my iOS device.
