Weird Audio pops, clicks, etc suddenly appear in audio track

Dan-Samples wrote on 1/3/2025, 8:40 AM

Just purchased Vegas Pro 22. The further along I get when editing a video, these strange pops, clicks and other noises start to appear. They are not in the original recorded audio. I am working with an older PC with 8gb of Ram and Basic graphic card. Could my low end PC be the reason. I was using Vegas Pro 18 for a long time and had no problems at all until I ruined it when trying to add external VST effects.

Can you give more information about your media and VSTs in use?

Please share MediaInfo for your video (assuming the audio is part of a video) https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-to-post-mediainfo-and-vegas-pro-file-properties--104561/ and is there also other audio (PCM wav? MP3?) please describe that.

Are there clicks and pops even when no VSTs are not in use? Do they also happen in the rendered video?

I`m not using any VST plugins at the moment. Just EQ and Compression software that came with Vegas Pro 22. The audio is 24 bit, 48K sample rate. I couldn`t understand or see very well the contents of the link you sent. Is there anyway to get a refund for the download? I just bought it a few days ago. I can`t use it if there is a problem with the audio. This is the second video I tried and it`s the same problem with both. Is there a way to buy a new copy of VEGAS PRO 18. That version worked great. I haven`t been able to get in touch with anybody at Magix creative software. Thank you

@Dan-Samples If your original VP18 was a proper purchased legitimate copy it should be available for download at your Magix account https://www.magix.com/us/support/my-service-center/ under My Products.

What do you mean by not being able to get in touch? There is a support function (scroll back to the top and click "support". However it may still be a holiday period for them.

There isn't a general issue with audio in VEGAS so it would be great to understand your issue so it can be fixed. Can you make a sample file available (via Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.?)

MediaInfo is a free program (also integrated into software like MPC player and ShutterEncoder) that tells you what your media is. Download it and let us know what it is: https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo Or just upload the media itself and I can do it.
