What's actually included in the Suite? (BorisFX Title Studio?)

Hi,

I'm trying to decide whether I should upgrade from Movie Studio 14 Platinum to Movie Studio 15 Platinum or to the suite package, and I guess it largely comes down to what actually is included in the suite, in particular the BorisFX goodies. I've installed the Trial, and it looks like this installed the whole BorisFX Continuum. Is that what will be activated? Or will most if it remain in trial mode?

From looking around, I'd mainly be interested in the Title Studio.

Thanks in advance,
Wouter

See what Vegas Movie Studio 15 Suite includes. There's the product comparison table there as well. And that same page lists what's included in the current upgrade offer.

Thanks.

I've looked there first, of course. About BorisFX it just says "Boris Continuum Film Style Unit" - but when installing the trial of Movie Studio, a lot of BorisFX things are installed. What I'm trying to find out is whether all of those things will be unlocked by the Movie Studio Suite, or if a trial version of pretty much everything BorisFX has to offer is installed?

Primarily, I'm wondering of the Title Studio is included in what Magix refers to as "Boris Continuum Film Style Unit"?

I don't have VMS 15 Suite, but AFAIK only "Film Style Unit" will be unlocked.

According to the Boris site, "Title Studio" is part of Boris Continuum "3D Objects Unit", which seems to be included in the current Vegas Pro 15 Edit offers. Check here. Re upgrading read also this comment. Search also this forum for comments on some Boris Units incompatibilities, e.g.

That's what I feared as well... but as Title Studio installed as part of the VMS15 Suite trial, I was hoping for it to be otherwise.

Unfortunate though, how unclear the Vegas product pages have always been at describing exactly what some of the bundled apps actually include. Then again, the BorisFX store itself isn't very easy to figure out either.

Unless somebody who has bought the Suite comes along with a different answer, I'll take advantage of the crazy cheap upgrade to 15 Platinum.

Make that "describing exactly what some of the bundled apps actually include".

Ehh, yes - that's what I meant indeed

Hi, I just purchased and installed Movie Studio 15 Suite.

Yes, the BorisFX is confusing. It installed Title Studio but I'm not sure if it has anything to do with Film Style Unit.

When I installed Movie Studio, I activated the BorisFX license, and it prompted me to "Removed unlicensed plugin" or "Leave unlicensed plugin". So, I chose "Remove unlicensed plugin" and then the next window it said "Unlicensed plugin removed".

Now, when I run Movie Studio, under Tools->Video->Video Track FX, it opens a dialog and displays a bunch of BCC_xxx items. I assumed they must be the BCC Film Style Unit plugins.

That's all I know, I haven't tried them yet.
