You found it in your order confirmation email from MAGIX (or in the package if you bought that version) when MAGIX was still selling VEGAS DVD Architect. It is not available to buy from MAGIX any more.
(DVD back-up disc of the program was an extra option when you purchased the download version.)
That`s what I thought, I ordered the Sony Vegas 17.0 at the beginning of November 2020 (This year) I received the download links etc which I have installed and using however I also received the disc in the post with Sony Vegas 17.0 on and DVD backup / architect however look at the invoice they sent me I can not see the Serial Number on there for Architect?
Can I use a much older Serial Number for Architect which I have for my older version of Sony Vegas will this still work with something that was rendered in Vegas 17?
You did not buy a "Sony" Vegas 17 but a VEGAS program from MAGIX. I seem to remember from an earlier post of yours that you actually bought VEGAS Movie Studio 17 Platinum. MAGIX did not include a license for the previously bundled DVD Architect in the purchase any more then. You most likely have Sony DVD Architect studio 5 from your earlier purchase. You need to test if it works. If you have the serial number, try it.

I will certainly try and let you know once I`ve done so, Can`t see any reason why it wouldn`t work?
I believe the AC3 dolby digital plugin is currently not available to activate for maybe a licensing issue.
You can render to sony wave PCM and then use DVD architect to re-compress the audio to AC3.
@Teagan Exporting as AC3 works in my VMS 17 Plat Build 204. My understanding from VEGASDerek's comments is that AC3 is now handled by other Windows codecs. It's just playing Dolby AC3 in some file types that is currently a problem.
Having said that I prefer to use your second method and export as wav or pcm and get DVDA to convert to AC3.

I`m sure what you said is useful but I don`t understand really what you guy`s are talking about? I`m not that experienced with Sony Vegas but I knew the basics and enough for what I need until I upgraded to 17.0 and now everything has changed!
Firstly I`d like to say a big thanks to everyone for all your comments I really appreciate your help. 😃
In case I haven`t explained it clear enough, I am by far an expert with Vegas or the Architect, I`m an mechanic & MOT Tester by trade, and I have created a website for my martial arts club I teach. (which I self taught which is pretty much the same as me on Vegas / Architect)
I`m sure the comments you guys have made is giving me the answers somewhere but I do not quite understand the terminology / explanations which have been said. Is there anyway someone could break it down for me in simply terms so I can understand what I have to do to be able to send my project from Vegas to Architect so I can create the menu for my DVD.
In case I haven`t mentioned here`s what I`ve done tried so far and failed miserably. 😒
Created project in Vegas and saved my project (After learning I had to convert the clips from the original MOD files) due to Vegas not reading the audio along with the video and only displayed / played the video with no audio.
After saving the project in Vegas I Rendered the project selected (Main Concept MPEG-2) & Then I`m sure I selected (DVD Architect PAL Widescreen) Something like that? 😕
Waited for the project to finish rendering
Found The saved Render on my PC and sent to Architect
Created the Menu, buttons, music titles etc
Checked everything was working all ok
Checked the actual DVD (Saved render) it played fine but No Audio alongside the video (Again).
Since then I have come on here asking for help, but maybe I didn`t explain it well enough as to what I want to do or have tried to do? Or maybe it`s where I`m not experienced enough with Vegas / Architect someone has already given me the answer but I`m just not understanding the terminology / explanations?
(I`ve been back at work for the last few days but I`m going to be of work from tomorrow afternoon for a couple of days and I`m hoping to get this done as I don`t get much time of work) Please can someone help me out with this issue now that I think I have explained it more clearer what I`m trying to do and with what I have done so far. Thanks in advance.
P.S
As I said I`m working tomorrow until late afternoon so if anyone does reply are help me out with this please don`t think I`m being rude but not replying / responding as I won`t get my messages until later afternoon early evening tomorrow. Thank you
The DVD Architect PAL Widescreen template only exports video (no audio), even if you try to customise by ticking audio in the audio tab. You need to do another audio only render using an AC3 template or Sony Wave 64 or Wave (Microsoft). Rendering audio is very quick.
Make sure the file name is the same and DVDA will automatically pick it up when you add the video to your DVDA project.
PLEASE don't double post. Apart from possibly breaching Community rules it creates confusion and unnecessary duplication. We appreciate that due to your inexperience you are struggling but we are trying to help you but double posting doesn't help.

Thank yo for you help and information, I didn't mean to breach any Community Rules as you can see by the posts it was late and I was running on next to no sleep and had work, no excuse I know!
@Jamie-Tant hope you find the solution using the great advice from @Teagan and @EricLNZ. Just a side note though. The post date we see in the comment refers to our particular time zone, which probably is different from yours. E.g. Eric sees my comment dated as something like 1/2/2021 4:32 AM when I see it as 1/1/2021 5:32 PM. 🙂

@vkmast yes hopefully I`ll be able to find the solution and finish my project with the advise from yourself and @Teagan@EricLNZ. I did think there was a difference in the time zones but wasn`t sure what they are though! I`ll differently let you all know how it goes and hopefully I`ll have a finished project done by tomorrow at some point 🙂
Hi everyone just need a bit more help to finalise my project,
So far thanks to the advise from you all @vkmast@Teagan@EricLNZ I`ve now managed to render two different formats one video one audio and send them (Open them) up in the Architect and it is now showing the audio along with the video 😌
The only thing I can`t work out now is I have the video rendered in a widescreen format so of course this is playing in widescreen format in Architect, However I would like it to be in a full screen format so it fills the TV screen but can`t work out which Rendering option that I would need for this to be displayed in a full screen format? Is this possible!
And many thanks again for all your help, and sorry to be a pain it`s just I jumped from Vegas 7 then went to Vegas platinum 9 with Architect 5.0 then I upgraded to Vegas 17.0 and although Vegas was pretty much the same getting my video along with the audio was different as I had to convert the clips / footage which I never had to do before and the rendering wasn`t the same as in Vegas 9.0 and the options are different. 😕

This depends on your source file's aspect ratio. If it's 16:9, simply export as 16:9 and set your DVDA project settings to 16:9. When you rendered the file in Vegas you did choose 16:9 when you chose the DVD resolution of 720x480?
If your source is 4:3 I would not suggest formatting it to 16:9 as that will stretch the video and it will be distorted. If this is what you want to be "full screen" it will be heavily distorted but it full cover a full 16:9 screen.
If you formatted your 4:3 source file to 16:9 or vice versa I would recommend re-rendering it into the original aspect ratio.
Otherwise, can you explain what you mean by full screen and wide screen? Are you talking about 4:3 for fullscreen or 16:9?
Opps yes I must have changed the aspect ratio before rendering, It`s sorted now thank you I changed it back and now it`s back to 4.3 source file. Now I`m just currently creating the menu before finalising my project. Thanks again for you help @Teagan
Am I missing something! I`ve got the video along with the audio file in Architect after correcting an error in the footage and watching it over again and then re-rendering it. made sure it plays fine in Architect which it does but it`s just dawned on me that my back ground music is not in with the audio file? So when I`m watching it in Architect it plays the video file and audio file but the audio file seems to be missing the background music? I think I`ve tried every option I can see or think of and render after render trying different audio settings I still can`t work out how I get the background music in with the audio file?
