Hi Friends,
My question here is neither a click-bait or a ill-intention. It is also not for those that are perfectly happy with Vegas and never picked on other editors, because all of their needs were met already in Vegas. :)
It is rather meant to be a support for Vegas developers, and if this is of interest for you, it indeed might be helpful for them to see what is exactly what could drive people away, despite the loyalty and commitment.
To start, I would give up on working with Vegas if the interface does not improve on some essential points and if the GPU integration will not be stable, so that the processing could use all the resources my system has to offer. With some projects, particularly I noticed with 4k footage, because the GPU does not contribute a whole lot to the editing, the timeline playback is not smooth at all and so the editing is very slow and unsatisfactory. Using proxy files helps, but weirdly, not always, even if "draft" or "preview" is used.
If these do not get addressed, as much as I enjoy the workflow (also this is not perfect though :)) I am sort of forced to choose some other editor, at least like I say, with some particular projects. I would like to be able to stay 100% in Vegas, for sure!!
