File a trouble ticket with Magix.

OK, how? The instructions to submit a ticket on the website don't work/aren't current.

"If it's not a "known bug" then what do you call it? Apparently you were aware of this and others here have now confirmed it - so it's a 'known bug'!"

Don't misconstrue my ability to analyze your issue over many different O/S and application versions as prior knowledge. Until today, I've been blissfully unaware of this flavor of decoder problem. I just happen to have system images going back a long way and it's easy enough for me to load them and test issues that are presented on the forum. Need to test an application on Windows XP with a Q9450? I can do it.

I have older versions too going back to 32-bit days and XP. I traced this back and it seems to have started when 64-bit versions of Vegas and Movie Studio came out. I don't use Vegas every day like some folks so I am surprised no one else reported this long ago. When I do use Vegas I have I worked around it - but that shouldn't be necessary.

I submitted a ticket now and hopefully they will take a look. Thanks, everyone, for your inputs.
