My avi files plays correctly on my computer, but when I pull them into a Vegas Pro timeline...they display nothing. Can someone shed some light on what I may be missing here. Thanks!!
I'm confused now. A non-working plug-in and a AVI file not being displayed are two rather different pairs of shoes. If you try to use the Heroglyph plug-in in Vegas Pro 17 this maybe needs an update from ProDAD to make it work.
I was trying to see if the plugin would work in 17, but does not. So... I was trying for a work around by using the stand alone version and exporting. ABI is the only choice and does not display on timeline.
The manual says there is the choice of exporting either different types of image sequences or different codec types of AVI (AVI is just a wrapper which could contain dozens of different codecs).
Just got the LE demo installed. You've got several choices. You can export image sequences either as TGA or as TIFF, with or without alpha channel and all would work fine in Vegas Pro. You could also export an AVI animation with or without alpha channel which I can't test due to a bug in Heroglyph. I think it should work the way walter-i mentioned above.
Also, if you have latest LE version of Heroglyph installed (if not, download and reinstall) you can also use the Heroglyph plug-in in Vegas Pro 17.
