Can VP13 be installed and registered on a new PC?

I have upgraded to every version of VP starting with VP6, that's well over $1,000 of upgrades and worth every penny, I have no regrets, I'm a big VP fan. However, VASST plugs/tools/extension are a major part of my workflow and since VP14 is incompatilble with VASST products such as Ultimate S Pro, I have no plans to upgrade to VP14.

But I got to thinking that if my PC or HD died and I had to reinstall VP13 from stratch on a new PC, that when I start VP13 for the first time, I will ask me to register the product. I'm guessing registration will fail and at the point I am out of luck and will be forced to purchase VP14, is that right?

thanks in advance,

Rich

No, you can install VP 13 on a new PC, why not?
If your max of activations is reached (Magix 2 PCs) you can cancel the activation for one PC and activate it new on your current PC

Camcorder: Sony CX 520 VE

Magix have taken over the activation of your existing Sony Creative Software licences (except Catalyst, Blu-print and DuStudio products), so you should have no need to be concerned. More details in these 2 threads:

Read carefully that post from the Community Manager. And be patient, everything has not been hunky-dory and you may need to see deadlines as elastic.
