Ok I have registered all my Sony software on the Magix site and it all appears. There are download links for Sony Sound Forge and older versions of DVD Architect etc, however, there are no download links for Vegas 12 and earlier (11, 10, 9, 8 etc). just 13 and 14. Are others seeing this?

Yes. They must be playing catch-up. I hope so.

Me too. I'm waiting. We were told it may take "several days", and it's still only been two. Note that you can register your serial numbers manually using the "Product registration" link.

As I said in the linked thread, I was also going to wait (for) awhile (several days/some time) to see if the software with the serial numbers will appear. Then I remembered all the fuss about the corrupted email address databases and such. So I decided to try to be on the safe side this time and registered my serial numbers manually myself. Like others who have done so I see that the latest (current) versions are available to download now there. I did not check if VPro 13 or MSP 13 were my SCS builds or MAGIX builds. It was not necessary to add the purchase places and dates (though asked) for the registration to be successful..

I assume MAGIX themselves have some part-time helpers doing the registrations manually as well.

Hi everybody,

If you want to see your serials as quick as possible - just register them directly. Otherwise it will take still some time - in some cases weeks - to see them transfered automatically. There is no need to wait for it if you want to see your serials in your MAGIX Account right now - just visit the MAGIX Service Center and choose "Product registration". There is no need to contact the support team on that.

The server switch for the software registration & activation and other stuff happened just two days ago. Actually there are some last data preparation processes running at SCS and on our side before starting of the final migration of customer & product registation data. These processes are taking time – transfering and converting tons of data in a different technical structure.

All guys working on that - at SCS & MAGIX - are doing a brilliant job. Please be patient - there is really no need to be worried.

Best regards,
Mathias

The older SCS versions you may need don't seem yet to be available to download through MAGIX. If you do not have the time or the patience to wait, go to http://download.sonymediasoftware.com/. The folder current still has most of the Sony software there with a few exceptions such as Sony Vegas Pro 12 and 13 and the last Sony Sound Forges. You may find other goodies that are useful to you in other folders like releasenotes and manuals. Get them while the getting is good.

I had both the patience and made the time to do this important task - which I was able to execute correctly.

I have not been offered - so far - the option to download :

  • Vegas Pro 12 and prior versions
  • SoundForge 10 and prior versions.
  • DVD Architect Pro 4.5 and prior versions.

Obliquely, I may download and install Acid Pro 7?

I’m now left with an irritable sensation in my nether regions as to who will honour the reinstallation of my earlier versions of the software if I need to instigate a full install on my existing or a new machine? Will it be SCS (I don't think so!) or MAGIX? If it is MAGIX how will they go about it?

I’m of the opinion that there will be others in a similar situation as I, whilst reading this, who will be concerning themselves too.
