About your used hardware: what is it , processor, GPU, amount of available RAM, which Windows version?
Give here also the MediaInfo of your most used sourcefiles.

I have an i9-10850k, inno GTX 1660, 32gb ram, windows 10 pro
And i dont understand the second part, ive installed that program but idk how it works

Vegas is an edit program to make or change certain video- and/or audiofiles.
Those files have to be loaded into Vegas in a certain projecttype you are able to choose.
Not all files that can be played with a video player are suitable for that program.
To know why your installed program refuses to load files has to be a reason, which one we try to find by publishing here that MediaInfo.

Here this is the file, but its weird that i cant even import any file. not even an mp4 which is the most basic video format. and when i hover over buttons like this the text disappears or stretches.. like my whole program is just broken

Sorry but I can't help you further except that you try to reset the program:
with hold Ctrl+Shift doubleclick the startbutton on your desktop. Select there the option to delete all cached application data

This symptoms seems similar to nahimic issue from my point of view of VEGAS Pro user.

Search nahimic in this forum.
