Using VMS16 rendering 4K video - Only seems to use CPU to pre render proxy files and not the 6GB or DDR5 on my Nvidia 1060 ?

Is their a way to FIX this?

Uses GPU when doing final video render.

I fixed it.. silly me didn't use the registration code for effects!!

ALL Transitions working now.

I installed the Soundforge program as well but not sure what I will do with it.

Not posted yet. I've just let VMS download it but not install as yet.

My new build is opening VMS16 now faster than build 109. Reason ?

Build 142 installed now but a warning the download file gets deleted once installation and activation is complete. If like me you like to keep a copy of the file it's VMSPEUpdate.exe 521,254 kb found in your User\AppData\Local\Movie StudioPlatinum\16.0 folder. You need to copy it before you click the Install Now button. Installing after shutting down didn't work for me and the file disappeared so I had to let VMS download it again.

If you go your Magix account and run the Download Manager Build 142 now appears in the list.

Hopefully we may get details of this new build later in the European day.

The Readme file appears to have been updated so the changes are probably under "Changes in Update 2". From memory this is the second update.

I just D/L and updates but VMS wont activate/register it say no online connection but hay... I'm on the forum...

I reboot my system but still "no connection" for activation hence no VMS anymore...

It suggest to "reset internet connection" with dozen alerts, why should I do so? All the other programs work fine with the current connection.

I wait for your experience.

Probably you have a setting made in Windows that does not allowe other software to use a connection to the internet, mostly a setting in Windows Defender.

The first screen of the Guided Video Creator tool now autoscrolls when you move a thumbnail to a position that is not currently visible in the window

So the problem seems to be solved sooner rather than later due to there being daytime in Europe then instead of nighttime.

Thanks vk. I wrongly assumed he'd sent a ticket to which Magix had responded. Around the same time my activation took only a few seconds. But my request to Berlin probably goes around the planet by a different route. I read recently that 96 percent of internet traffic goes by cable. So in the event of cable failure satellites aren't much use as a backup.

I don't know what was the problem, I did disabled Avira but still it took 20minutes, if I wasn't patient enough (and you no that I'm not..) and doing something else I would have kill that process sooner.

Probably your memory is not refreshing on time.
If this is the case you have to manually close the program through the taskbar option and than try again to install. evt. after a new start of the program.

I have tried that, is there a way to download the installer and perform an uninstall of the existing version installed and then do a reinstall of the version that is the most recent one?

Then with VMS not open run the file. It will usually uninstall your existing version for you. No guarantee as I haven't tried this file as my update from VMS eventually went okay.

I thought my build 142 was opening faster too, until I realised GPU acceleration was turned off in preferences. Once I turned it back on it took as long as VMS15 to start. Not sure if I turned it off earlier and forgot, or if installing build 142 turned it off.

I don't like this new layout. How do I set it to be like previous versions?

Unfortunately you cannot. Others have already complained about this so hopefully we may get the tree view back in a future update.

STRONGLY AGREE.......... I purchased two copies of 16 and they both are sitting inactive and not being used. I also have stopped recommending Movie Studio to my newer editors until this fix has been made. It is a HUGE negative on the work flow especially for newer editors and removes the great VISUAL aspect of quick easy editing.
