No more Batch Render?

musesmistress wrote on 12/1/2019, 6:36 AM

I just upgraded to 16, I was using 13 for a long time and then tried a few other editors - but I'm a little annoyed that there seems to be no batch render options anymore, you can't set up all your clips and just let the computer do the work overnight.

Is there something I'm missing or a way around this?

Thanks

You'll find the batch render facility in Tools/Scripting. It's still there in VP 16 and 17, as it always was in former versions since scripting was introduced.

I went looking for it and I couldn't find it, then realised I posted in the wrong place. I thought I clicked on the Vegas Movie Studio button at the top but apparently it didn't change. Sorry - but thanks for the help.

There is also script for automatic shutdown after queue is complete

Scripting is not included in the Movie Studio(s), the latest version of which the OP seems to have.

Then again, in Movie Studio there's never been any batch render tool, not even in version 13 (or before).

Either way, is there a way to do batch in movie studio without spending $100?

For Movie Studio I'm not aware of any way (Vegasaur does not work in Movie Studio).

About the only script-like extensions that work in Movie Studio(s) are the VASST FasstApps. Render Assistant has some batch rendering capabilities. FasstApps were updated for MS(P) 15 and they should work in v.16.
