Problem to upload a Pres Set that I bought online

Theuns wrote on 5/10/2023, 10:14 AM

Hi There

hope some one can help me with this.

Yesterday I did Bought a Pre Set online In th mail was every thing I need to upload it

to my Vegas 365.

I install presetmngr20k which the seller also provides.

When I install the presetmngr20k I did get an Error Window from my PC but it did install the program.

I follow the step that was given to me to upload it into Vegas but after I follow it and open

Vegas it was not under My Video FX

The name of the pre-set is "Smooth Zoom In BounceRGB Transition"

Is there anything else that I need to do or use an other System to

get it into my Vegas 365.

Regards

Theuns

@Theuns Hi, I don't know about 365 but does it have these two files, sometimes you have to delete them then launch Vegas to refresh the plugin cache so it will load new plugins? 🤷‍♂️ these two files will get recreated on Vegas's next launch.

jetdv wrote on 5/10/2023, 11:40 AM

You would have to own all of the effects used by that preset...

Theuns wrote on 5/10/2023, 3:31 PM

@Former user Thx

The Vegas Pro 365 is the same as the Vegas Pro 20 you just have some extra things in the Hub that you can use.

OK back to my Problem LOL can you give me a bigger Screenshot and explain to me where to find the files?

I try to but I can't find it.

@Theuns are you not able to enlarge the screenshot by clicking on it?

Theuns wrote on 5/10/2023, 4:48 PM

@vkmast Yes I did pull it into my photo editing program but it is just a small section of the screen he crop the Screenshot. And I can't see where I need to go to find the file that I need to delete.

in the screenshot is the file location where you need to go. It is a hidden folder, so you have to make sure you can view hidden folders in the Explorer window, by checking marking in View> Hidden items. Then follow the link above in the screenshot highlighted in blue, look for the files that have the checkmark in the screenshot, rename them, and let the cache be rebuilt on your next run of Vegas.

@Theuns, just delete the two files indicated. They will be recreated the next time you start VEGAS. That is a way to "clear the cache" without having to reset all settings to factory default.

I wish I could give you an answer, but I've never used the preset manager, so don't know how to set it up.

@Theuns Hi, something is amiss at your end if you can't click on the image to enlarge it, I'm aware of these screen captures being small, so before I upload them I upscale them, this one is 1920 × 444 & fills my 32" screen when clicked on,

Theuns wrote on 5/11/2023, 2:06 PM

@Former user Thx I did win with that now I still sit with the problem about that I point out can you help me with that ?

It appears the preset manager itself requires .NET 3.5. You will have to have .NET 3.5 on your system in order for that program to work. That's what your first error message says!

Howard-Vigorita wrote on 5/12/2023, 9:27 AM

@Theuns You might also try the offline and /or on-demand installers from Microsoft... the offline ones tend to give better reactions to situations that require special user responses:

Theuns wrote on 5/12/2023, 2:27 PM

Hi @jetdv & @Howard-Vigorita thx for your Help

I did go to the link that @Howard-Vigorita Give me and did

down load the NET 3.5.  but see what happen when I did Download it.

@Theuns You don't need to install. Just go to Settings in Windows, Apps - Optional Features, More Windows Features, and this dialog will appear offering the option for .NET 3.5

Unless you get .NET 3.5 installed, you'll never run the preset manager which means you won't be able to import those presets.

I think I will ask my Computer Shop to help me with this because they will know better what to do.
