problem with burning blu ray discs

I have Vegas Pro 19.0. When trying to burn a video onto a blu ray disc I have a problem with the "preparing compilation" stage. The rendering video and rendering audio stages work fine but in the middle of the preparing compilation stage a page appears on my pc which states "The device has run into a problem and needs to restart" Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?

I'm not sure if this is the same problem that I had way in the past, but try unchecking "Use legacy disc drivers" in Options/Preferences/Burning (tab):

... which I've had to uncheck to avoid a burning problem of some kind.

This looks like a compilation problem, not a burning one. But anyway if Dexcon's suggestion doesn't help I wonder if you have sufficient harddrive space available.

DVDA needs spare space at least twice (two times) the size of your final disc for compiling the image ready for burning.

Thanks to Dexcon and EricLNZ for your responses to my problem. I actually was able to burn all but 1 of my videos using Roxio's "My DVD" app which was a shock because my previous failure to burn discs on that app led me to get the Vegas app. The one video I could not burn on Roxio was just too large so I created 2 videos from it and was then able to burn using Vegas. Eric, my hard drive memory is 1 terabyte so that's not a problem. However my working memory (RAM) is just 15.9gb so that is close to the size of the videos I'm trying to burn. As I said I was able to burn them using Roxio but maybe Vegas requires more working memory. It does seem to me that maybe the Discs burned using Vegas (TS) are slightly better quality than the ones from Roxio (MP4).

@ronny-h DVDA is a 32 bit programme so probably unable to use all your RAM but that shouldn't be a problem as users have burnt larger 50gb dual layer discs.

The RAM issue has cropped up before so search the forum. There was a patch posted somewhere that helped. I've never used it but have it archived somewhere if you are unable to find it and would like to try it.

@EricLNZ @ronny-h The patch can be found here: NTCore link: https://ntcore.com/4gb-patch/

"An attempt to use 4GB Patch does not give anything - yes, it changes something - DVDA7 does not even start ... (Error code: -71)"
