Purchased MS 17 from amazon, hardcopy. Error code 14 when registering

I purchased a hard copy of Movie Studio 17 and it installed great but now I'm to the Welcome box that asks me for serial number and email. I did it once and got an email confirmation of my registration. Now I try to open the software and it send me back to the welcome gray box for my serial number and email and after adding in the correct info, i get error 14???

It also is telling me there's no license to this product. Why is this so difficult? and why doesnt the company have a support phone number?
