Welcom here but the program you try to use does not exist.
So here we can't give any help, maybe we can if you show here a screenshot of the openingscreen of your program.

Hello, I clearly specified that the program i'm using is Sony Vegas 15.

Here's a screenshot.

EricLNZ wrote on 4/10/2020, 6:32 AM

You are using Vegas Pro 15. It has nothing to do with Sony and hasn't for a few years now.

Also please post screenshots directly here on the forum using this button

What makes you think it's "Sony" Vegas?

The title of the software is VEGAS Pro 15. AFAIK Sony is not mentioned anywhere when you purchase it, so that's why I asked the OP "What makes you think it's "Sony" Vegas?".

I really don't understand the passive aggressive response to people using "sony" when talking about any version of Vegas after Magix bought it.

People *know* what is being asked and refuse to give an answer just because someone mistakenly used the word "sony"

It would be much kinder if those people would just answer the question *and* let people know sony is no longer involved, or just scroll on.

Actually we seldom have refused to give answers in these cases (here neither) if enough info is given. We'd like to know what makes so many of them think it's "sony vegas" though.

Sony Vegas vs. VEGAS

Turd wrote on 4/10/2020, 10:22 AM

The saying goes, "The devil is in the details." I think of it as: "The Angel is in the details."

Wanting/expecting factual details, no matter how mundane they might seem to you, keeps everyone sharp and could mean the difference between finding a solution and not finding one. Letting details slip easily becomes a slippery slope.

Yes, some people are sensitive to that specific detail, but it's all in an effort to help.

Note to self (everyone else please look away -- the note that follows is a reminder for mine eyes only): Figure out a clever, kick-booty signature that suggests I'm completely aware of how to properly and exhaustively party on and that I, in fact, engage in said act on a frequent and spontaneous basis. All joking aside, listing my computer's properties is a futile endeavor. I edit multimedia in a local television station newsroom that has Vegas Pro installed on several machines with widely varied specs. We began editing non-linearly with Pinnacle Studio Version 8. That didn't last long before we upgraded to Vegas Video Version 4, then to Vegas Pro 10.

michael-harrison wrote on 4/10/2020, 10:25 AM

@vkmast you're correct in that nobody "refused" to help but the passive aggressive responses to the old name are bordering on the obnoxious.

Sony maintained the software for far longer (at the very least version-wise) than Magix has owned it and many users are still using older "Sony" versions due to lack of funds or other reasons.

Everyone knows what software is being referred to when someone says "Sony Vegas" and the only important detail is the version number, which thankfully has been continued under Magix.

@michael-harrison First off, thank you for helping me.

Second of all, my screenshot was for some reason pretty small, even tho I uploaded it. By "weird" I mean like a glitched preview and a whole video. In my movies & tv app the video is completely normal, only when I put it onto vegas the video is super glitchy.

vkmast wrote on 4/10/2020, 10:44 AM

@michael-harrison we're not worried about using the term "Sony Vegas" regarding versions 13 and earlier. What some of us are troubled about can be seen in e.g. this comment (and some other ones in that thread).

ninguart wrote on 4/10/2020, 11:11 AM

@vkmast I didn't know that the developer of vegas is magix now. I thought it was still Sony. I'm not following the news.
