Yet another trick to try is to start Vegas elevated (as administrator)...

I just tried that. No joy.

I'm really reluctant to reset to the default settings.

You can export the preferences, then reset, check if it does the trick, and if not, import your preferences again.

I cleared the DNS cache on my PC. I don't have any ad blockers on my PC or network, other than the Pi-Hole. I also restarted my PC. No difference.

I have a lot of confidence that it's not an issue with my network. I have had to deal with sites being blocked before by the Pi-Hole and disabling it or whitelisting the site always fixes the problem.

I just tried that. It went through some more animations, prompted me for my password, then I got a message that "automatic logins are not possible", prompted me to login again, which I did. Then I get the same blank window.

Maybe there is a verification to the Vegas/magix servers behind the scenes to check if your 365 license is not expired when using text-to-speech which goes wrong, but this is just speculation on my part.

I previously tried uninstalling and reinstalling VP21, which goes through the activation process.

Regarding deactivations, please note/remember: To deactivate a device in VEGAS Pro 14 or later, so you can activate a different one, you can choose Deactivate the Software on this PC from the Help menu. This option can be used as often as you wish. An internet connection is required.

The MAGIX account > My Products > Show More Details > Deactivate option can be used only once a month.

I just tried @VEGASDereks' suggestion from a recent comment which fixed my blank window 'Text to Speech' issue. I do not know if it will be a permanent. but it is better than being totally inoperable.

Delete the 'WebView2' folder in:
C: \ Users \ --user name-- \ AppData \ Local \ VEGAS Pro \ 21.0 \

btw, Appdata is a system folder and is normally hidden.

@jyoungl6 I hope there is no language dependent issue in your case; strangely enough some French speaking users had VP21 issues with the French localization, solved by installing VP21 in US/English. I know it is far fetched, but with a feature such as text-to-speak which has at least some distant relation with languages, who knows!

I submitted my ticket on 11/21. On 11/28 I received an email stating they were escalating the issue to the Hub team. I've heard nothing since then. This is pretty frustrating, since Text to Speach is one of the features that I could really use.

I just installed build 208 and now Text to Speech is working great!

Is there a way to save text to speech sessions as sort of a sub-project? Right now, the only options is to save generated audio.
