update doesn't work

I installed Movie Studio 17 Platinum build 179 and I started it.

The program asks me if I want to do an update.

I click on "Perform update now" and the download starts.

When download ends I ask to install the update, but nothing happens.

The process Movie Studio Platinum is active and it seems to me it's working, but I can leave it working all the day and it doesn't finish installing the update.

What can I do?

Try this to download the latest update/build. See this comment.

Check Task Manager and kill all running VEGAS processes first.

Build 179 is the build I riceived from Vegas few weeks ago, when I bought the program.

What doesn't work is the update I was suggested to download and apply.

I tried to cancel all Vegas processes running, beforfe starting Movie Studio, but nothing changed.

Did you try any alternative download options such as the one linked in my comment above or your MAGIX Account > My products or here?

I tried the alternative download and it worked. Now my program is build 204 in place of 179 and works fine.

The program doesn't ask me anymore to perform update. Good!

But I have again one little problem: when I close Movie Studio the process remain active in windows and I have to cancel the process.

Can you help me in solving also this problem?
